We're still talking about humans, right? I'm sorry but a 9 year old doesn't even pass the smell test. Even given whatever circumstances, it doesn't make any sense that the most moral person of all time would think that having intercourse with her could be okay.

Frankly, when I think about a man thinking about a little girl like that, I seriously feel like bashing his head in. It is really hard for me to remember that bad people are still people at all, when it comes to this.

I have been reading her narrations (she has so many) and she really does sound like someone with Stockholm Syndrome. It's a shame, she also sounds like a very clever woman capable of so much yet she was married off to an old man so young and spent the rest of her life being unable to remarry because his insecurities wouldn't allow it.

Yes, Quod I've heard many people say that to me. I won't claim it's all about the Arabic language because I don't think that's the whole story. It's probably more to do with perception. What one was brought up with. Etc... I've heard people tell me the Bible is  much better book, but for me I found the Bible dreadfully dull and boring and no where near as poetic as the Qur'an. I guess it boils down to what one is used to. When it comes to religious texts its all about perception and emotional attachment or detachment.

I think  the Bible is much more interesting than the Quran. It's tedious book to read but there is story in the Bible. The Quran is more like a rant  to the point of hate mongering. The Bible is good and bad. But I don't find anything good in the Quran.

The prayer ritual reminded me of pagan practices, every time i prayed i felt like i was taken back thousands of years prostrating to the sun god, in order to gain favours, didnt feel natural to me like a personal prayer would.

Without Allah (God) life will continue. Without the Sun life will cease to exist. That's the rationale behind Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation) in Hinduism and Buddhism.

That guy has done more to turn people away from Islam than any Islamophobic hate-monger!!

Word Islamophobia is used to beat up people who have genuine fear of Muslims who scream "Islam will take over" or "behead those who insult Islam". Or those who condemn violence committed in name of Allah.
I've been called Islamophobe for stating facts, "there is no religious freedom in Muslim countries or non Muslims are not allowed to build new temples & churches in most countries." Stating facts is not Islamophobia.

Maybe it's because as a Muslim I was taught that Catholics believe that God is three but also that God is one. Maybe it wasn't explained to me clearly but that was what I understood at the time and it left me confused.

I never understood why people argue about which belief is true. Beliefs are not facts: Muhammad is the Last Prophet or Jesus is God or Krishna is the Incarnation of God. All are myths. You pick the myth you like. The word myth comes from Sanskrit word Mithya which means a lie. All myths are equally inane or equally valid. They're just different. It doesn't matter if Christians believe in three (trinity) Or Hindus have million Gods or Buddhist don't have God. What's the point of arguing about which belief is true because no belief is a fact?

Not all the time; there is genuine Islamophobia in Europe. I have friends who are nothing like the people you described but have been verbally abused on the street. I have also seen people rejoicing the deaths of the people killed by the crane in Makkah when it in fact was a tragedy. Sure the word has been misused at times but that goes for any sort of prejudice.

Is that true about the churches and temples though? Because I have seen them in every Muslim country I've been to besides Saudi Arabia.

What I find dishonest about those who dismiss the term Islamophobia is that they insist on being pedantic about it being fear of Islam. When they know full well in reality it is mainly used to mean anti muslim attacks. In this way they can deny they are dismissing attacks on Muslim - yet that is really what they are doing.

You are 100% correct. I have seen Islamophobia with my own eyes and those who deny it are the ones who most likely have problems with Muslims as people, not just the religion of Islam.

Rogues are every where,  in every religion, every culture, every society, every town and  some times in every home..

Just because I look different from others around me where I live,.   they used to throw eggs at my rented house and sometimes on the people cars who used to visit me.. And often these are 17 to 25 or less under grown up/ kids...

But we must realize there is a difference between Islamophobia and Muslim Phobia . Sometimes there is a thin line between the two but anyone with bit of common sense and lives/lived  in a multireligious/multicultural  society  can easily see the difference.

Do not let silence become your legacy.. Question everything

True, but Islamophobia is the term coined for anti-Muslim bigotry which is why we use it in this context. It is the same way antiSemitism is the term used for anti-Jewish bigotry despite the fact that some Jews are not Semites and some Semites are not Jews. Yet this can't be used as a reason to claim that antiSemitism does not exist. It is more to do with the meaning behind the term rather than what it sounds like on the surface.

Indeed.. I  realize there is a problem with words/terms..

muslims ..   People following certain cultural/ritual/religious norms of Islam/some Quran/some hadith...

    jews.......People following certain cultural/ritual/religious norms of Judaism/OT/Tanka/Torah /Tanakh,...whatever...

christians.... People following certain cultural/ritual/religious norms of Islam...

hindus...   people following certain cultural/ritual/religious norms of paganism/gods/vedas/goddesses whatever .....

    And..samething goes for Buddhists ... calvinists... Sikhs....etc..etc....

I say and many  in this forum will agree that   " People of 21st century must have freedom to criticize all religions, religious books/rituals"  and they may/can have phobias about religions/cults . There is nothing wrong with it..

But what  people of 21st century  can not have is.,     PHOBIAS ABOUT PEOPLE LIVING WITH THEIR FAITH/RITUALS.,    What is wrong is discriminating people who are following their respective faiths and yet live normally in a society USING GOLDEN RULE AS THE STANDARD for their actions in their life

I used  a word "CULT" .,    I would like to define it and I know there is a difference between a cult and a religion.,  may be about  about 100-200  years. Once a cult is able to establish itself for several generations, we call it a "religion." Before that, we dismiss it as a dangerous threat to real religion.

I will certainly question and I will oppose RELIGIOUS BUMS,   religious pundits and politicians in collusion with those bums making rules to put  people in jail and to persecute them just  because they are questioning, criticizing  the faiths,  faith heads, their rituals and their religious scriptures..

In a cult, there's someone at the top who knows it's all a scam. In a religion, that person is dead.
