     OP - September 12, 2015, 09:50 PM

Hey folks, I'm having surgery in a week from Monday. I'm feeling really good about it right now but I'm anticipating that I might be pretty upset after it which generally makes me suicidal. So I want to pre-empt that by having a board of nice thoughts. Smiley If you could be so kind, send me a nice little note either here or @bluefingerbox (my twitter) and I'll print them out and put them on a big posterboard (take a picture of a handwritten note or type up a note). Thanks guys! :3

It's going to get better, much better There will be far more better days than not-so-good days in the near future. Recovery is temporary. Those better days are coming up fast- be patient! Do something nice for yourself, you deserve it, and it will help!

Everything will go well for you as you are in the hands of professionals. After the surgery you can place this problem behind you and move on to better things in your life.

Yeez--having a hysterectomy because the doctors said I'm gunna get uterine cancer if I don't. Not really worried about the surgery as much as I am how I'm going to feel after it.

Get hold of the full volume of all the five books in the trilogy of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

If you have read it before: Read it again.

Perhaps try to find them as audio books. Post-operation pain and mood swings may make it hard to focus on written material (my sister-in-law went through this albeit in a later age so be prepared for a lot of down time and feeling of hopelessness Undecided )

Also if you are not allowed to laugh violently my recommendation of literature might not be the best Huh?

    Love you Smiley

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

Went to my pre-op appointment today. The insurance agreed to cover the surgery so that's one less thing to worry about. She also said she's going to be keeping me overnight, which is cool because that means I won't need to get anyone to come sit with me over the first night. Smiley Also, soon-to-be-ex-husband agreed to sign an annulment, so that's another huge thing to not worry about, soon I will be un-married! The doctor gave me some pills for the pain today, so that I wouldn't have to go to the pharmacy after the surgery when I was all doped up. She gave me percocet and ibuprofen. So the pain level will be somewhere between "percocet" and "ibuprofen".

The surgery has been delayed because of unforeseen "insurance company fucked up my paperwork". So since I had already planned for a big emotional shit to happen and gotten all the supplies I need for a prolonged attack of "I can't face the world", I figured why not file my annulment paperwork instead. So I'm going to file for an annulment tomorrow! Get rid of my soon-to-be ex for good lol.

well Musa Girl., If Doc is sure and there is any signature of cancer cells or even fibroids  .....then it is better to do the operation ASAP....

But I am under the impression that you are too young to such type of cancers.. So your doc is the best person to consult on that HORRIBLE STUPID INSURANCE OF POLICIES OF AMRIKA...

I'm pretty sure that what happened is that they accidentally un-enrolled me from the insurance, and that's why the insurance said they won't pay for my surgery, and once they get me back onto the insurance, it'll be fixed, so probably I'll be able to reschedule the surgery in like 3-6 weeks.
