    Canadian arsonist sets mosque ablaze as U.S. sees several anti-Muslim incidents

    Authorities are investigating the Peterborough fire that caused $80,000 in damage at the Kawarth Muslim Religious Association late Saturday as a hate crime, an act Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau found "deeply disturbing."

    The blaze is one of several acts of vandalism — including two U.S. incidents that turned violent — since Friday's carnage in the City of Light.

    Congregants at a mosque in Texas found the front door of its Islamic Center of Pflugerville smeared with human excrement early Monday. The most "disrespectful" act by far, one congregant said, was finding pages ripped from the Quran and soiled with feces.

    Hm. Be wary, I'd say, but still listen.

    I've heard Harris say some brilliant things and some things that I couldn't possibly disagree with more. He may be a bit of a liability for reformists to team up with considering certain statements, but I mentioned this on the forum a while back...I think we (people in general) should be able to say "I don't agree with everything they say but they make some good points." And he can make some excellent points. And some really terrible ones.

    While I was on that podcast page, I noticed another short one three items down. I remember the huge kerfuffle about Harris' views on profiling. His take on it puts entirely different light on things. Assuming he's not blatantly lying, which would be odd because he's on record anyway so would only get caught out, then it appears that what he said was distorted by someone else, and it was that version that did the rounds and resulted in all the umbrage.

    Can I assign judgment on her case yet?  no.  I don't feel like I am ready to do that, since I have no idea what her position was within that scenario she was in.

    I went through a phase of being ridiculously religious.  Not desiring to kill people, and I would have reported my partner if I had believed he was planning something, but still religious.  But what if I hadn't been able to tell anybody?  I remember being kept in my house for close to 3 weeks once, with him watching my every move.  Maybe I couldn't have reported it even if I had wanted to.

    That picture floating around of her says nothing to me, other than it is an excellent shot for the media, and really riles people up in the exact way our media wants people to respond.

    I honestly don't know how much agency she had once she lost herself in that crowd.

    What happened in Paris was disgusting, what happens daily is depressing, but what the media is telling me fills me with disgust also, since it is all so dishonest.

    You see, there are also 'conspiracy' sites, which write some truth but yet also add absurd stuff: "I know this because aliens told me"
    This is to confuse people. These sites are actually setup and controlled by the treacherous dogs, who play both sides to confuse the dumb.

    I stopped believing in religion, not because some genius wrote a article. I just read as much info as possible and used my powers of deduction and came to the conclusion religions are man-made. The very concept of a God that sends messages is irrational.

    Question everything. Search for "false flag". Look into every historical 'fact; and read any oposing views. Decide for yourself. Look for who gains from this.

    I think i heard that her last words were " he is not my boyfriend" when the police asked where her boyfriend or rather cousin was, i thought it was a strange thing to say just before you decide to kill yourself, so i'm guessing she either detonated accidently, or there was someone else in the room who detonated.

    Last I heard, she didn't blow herself up, but her body wasn't intact either (which wouldn't be surprising under the circumstances). I do remember seeing a report that her head and spine landed in the street, sans the rest of her.

    It seems likely, based on the articles I've seen, that she was basically just a fuckwit but not actually a violent one, although undoubtedly susceptible to hanging around with violent fuckwits, which presumably means she was enough of a fuckwit to think the other fuckwits were cool.

    On a more personal note, I was watching live updates of the Paris attacks and I was very moved by the humanity of the Parisians. People helping other people, taxis turning off the meter and giving free lifts home, there was even a hashtag circulating on twitter offering complete strangers shelter if they need it. That, I think, shows the spirit of Paris more than anything else could.
