  • Celebrating christmas is haram
     OP - December 26, 2015, 06:37 PM

Every year this discussion comes up, and every year some will say you can't partake in christmas celebrations, some will say you can't even wish someone merry christmas, and some will go as far as taking their children out of school on days where there might be any activity  remotely associated with christmas.

Some muslims do everything possible to create barriers and distance between themselves and the non-muslim majority in the west, then the same set of muslims complain that they are being marginalized.

He actually compared having sex and drinking alcohol to murder. Jesus Christ. On a related note, my brother bought me a lovely bottle of whiskey for Christmas.

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

I got my husband a coffee machine.  He was quite happy with it.

He's no friend to the friendless
And he's the mother of grief
    There's only sorrow for tomorrow
    Surely life is too brief

I also got a very beautiful diary. I was quite touched.

His name is Abu Mussab Wajdi Akkari.

He used to have a huge YouTube presence for Muslims back in 2010-2011.. His videos in searches were found all over. He was the alternative for Muslims that didn't want to follow a watered-down version of Islam. Now he is being overshadowed by other Islamic speakers on the YouTube search.

I used to LLOOOVEEE this guy. And no, he wasn't a Saudi agent.. lol. He used to be a Buddhist. It's sad he went from being a Buddhist to the most extreme interpretation of Islam.

there's a big muslim community where I live and this year I noticed the halaal butchers taking advance orders for turkey. there are muslims who do celebrate it obviously not in a religious way but just to enjoy the holidays. no harm in it at all really. we had biriyani. very nice.

........................He used to be a Buddhist. It's sad he went from being a Buddhist to the most extreme inteE way of life with freedom and free enterprise..

my be that rascal went to buddhism to impress some high school girls..  that is what most of the kids do..   Americans need to learn how to spank their kids with their eyes  for that parents themselves should have some controls on their lives...

otherwise some of their kids will go the way that fellow went..... HIGH SCHOOL  FREEEEEEEE DOME... high  on  beer.. high on rap.... then to hard drinks .... Christian fable stories bore them to the death and  their Santa stories will end the christianity of American kids...... then they go to Buddhism or some other ism/cult .... gets bored with them quickly  and  then  they goes to Islam ..

Funny thing   is they question every little thing  in Christianity   and then end up with Islam and stop questioning it.

He Is....    How is he living in sand land? how is he getting paid?? and I  would consider  every Islamic preacher of every Sand land  schools/colleges/mosques as the agents of SAUD SUKERS Islam

Christmas has little to with Christianity in any case. I'm happy to celebrate it as an end of year hoolie.

I like the cozy, lights in the dark, nice decorations, feeling you get from Christmas. I've been in the old country during Christmas; no typical 18 hour darkness, no snow, no typical christmas decorations and Christmas trees. You could see the occasional light decorated palm tree Grin maybe it's different now, but that's how it was 10 years ago. The feeling wasn't the same.

So that's what Christmas can be for me. I also love giving gifts, the smiles you see from people you've made happy by the thoughtful gift you've given them is the best.
