Any Scottish Ex-Muslims?

Hey folks,

Scottish ex-mo here. Are there any other Scottish Ex-Muslims? I know none in IRL unfortunately, which is disheartening and a bit lonely. There is a Scottish Ex-Muslims group here called 'Ex Muslims Scotland' and they arrange meet-ups in Glasgow but apparently only 1-2 people actually go. Seems like the Scottish community is very low in numbers.

Glasgow has so many mosques, the Central Mosque even with its own road named after it (Mosque Avenue). With a community that established, there must be more ex Muslims in the closet.

Possibly, the only trouble is knowing them. Talking on Reddit and forums is well and good but still lacks the 'real life' touch. My friends are either white atheists or normal muslims, so neither are the type you can talk to and it kind of sucks.

I live in Germany and I have the same problem. I wrote a mail to the German Ex-Muslim organization but I haven't got a reply from them.

This is indeed the problem. It's a huge risk to meet in person, as you never really know what you're letting yourself in for until you actually meet.

I took a look at Reddit, didn't really get it. Seems like a lot of trolling and not much substance. Perhaps I'm getting old

sometimes they can the worst kind of Muslims to talk to
