So true.
Social services doesn't need any faith or moral religious affilation.
Secular humanist values are far better than any other religion.

I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.

This is not at all surprising that the atheist views of Civil Rights leaders would be understated. Traditionally religion, and especially the Christian religion, was a major tool used to placate black people in America in the face of inequalities and injustice. As important as Martin Luther King was to the Civil Rights movement, it's telling that the way it is taught in America one might think he was the only, and universally supported, major champion of Civil Rights during the mid 20th century. Nothing would be further from the truth.

Which was developed from a religious grounding then dumped it as if the whole idea wouldn't collapse without it.
