Ignore the "pending" status on these site maps, I have only just this minute resubmitted them. These sitemaps have been on here for years, and yet Google has spidered so few of the URLs. Can anyone see any reason why?

I don't come here any more due to unfair moderation.

Hey Rationalizer,

I'm seeing that you're top level sitemap, is not found 404... the most glaring issue:
http://quranx.com/sitemap.xml

Have to make sure this top level .xml file is on the server, along with all of the sub .xml map files.

I'm sure you know about tools such as this, for checking the SEO structure of urls (I know google analytics also has this tool)

Hiya. Thanks for your response. I think Google looks for a /sitemap.xml unless you have submitted explicit URLs to sitemaps as I have done via Webmaster Tools. I just don't understand why after all this time Google still hasn't indexed all of the urls

Heya Rationalizer, gotcha on the main sitemap.xml.

I do see the other sitemap files can be retrieved such as:
http://quranx.com/sitemaps/Tafsir/Wahidi-1.xml
http://quranx.com/sitemaps/Hadith/bukhari-1.xml
http://quranx.com/sitemaps/Hadith/Tirmidhi-1.xml

Yeah, that does not make sense as to why zero of the Hadith sitemaps are not getting indexed at all. I'll ask my friend what could be happening on that.

I see the others are having some success, but not 100%, could be not all of the links in those sitemaps are up to date perhaps. I built a tool for one of my places that I worked for that would scrape the sitemap files and verifiy the urls, that could be the issue regarding those.

.. but really, really strange why zero of the hadith ones are not indexed. I'll ask my friend, see if he has any idea why that could be happening... The hadith section is properly linked just like the others - strange.
