    Islamic
Shari`ah is unique as to caring to sons at the lifetime of their parents and after their death, this is demonstrated in custody, nursing, and expending on sons. Also, it obliged inheritance for them in their parents' estate which reveals how Islam pays attention for sons and their custody to provide a safe welfare life.

Taking inheritance in the Islamic Shari`ah into account, we would find that it is in line with the natural disposition, filiation is the expectation of paternity, and the instinct of possession urges man to work, earn livelihood, excel, and frequently withhold himself from enjoying his wealth to leave it for his sons to enjoy his effort after his death.

Father does all this while pleased and satisfied because the teachings of Islam enjoined on him to provide wealth for his sons to live in dignity and esteem among people.

Islam prescribes the major part in the parents' wealth for sons, it does not distinguish between males and females that it does not keep all estate for males and deprive females from it as practiced in so many legislations worldwide in recent and old times, rather Islam is fair in this regard and denies all kinds of inheritance injustice known in humanity.

    Right of fetus

Jurists unanimously agreed that fetus has the right in estate if two stipulations are met:

1- Actual existence of fetus in his mother's womb at the time of devisor's death. This is can easily be recognized by determining the time of delivery since the devisor's death that is if the mother delivered the baby a month to six months after the death, the minimum period of delivery, then jurists ruled that the baby is worthy of inheritance.

2- The fetus is delivered alive, even if he made one cry, and then died, he/she would be worthy of inheritance. This is the opinion of the majority of scholars. If he/she is born dead, then inheritance is not due, even if the cause of death is a serious offense against the mother.

So long as the fetus is inside the womb, the estate shall not be finally distributed as the fetus gender or number can't yet be identified that is some of the heirs' shares vary according to the gender of the fetus. Accordingly, jurists are unanimously agreed on non-distribution to the estate until time of delivery on condition that the heirs approve it explicitly or implicitly, namely they do not claim it. This is applied to the case when the fetus has no participant heir or even if there such heir but he/she is disinherited. The point of disagreement

among jurists on this topic arises when one of the heirs asks for the distribution of the estate, thus some jurists approve distribution of the estate, others disapproved it, a third view approved distribution to some portion of the estate. The preponderant view is that of the majority of jurists which distributes the prescribed shares whose holders are not affected by any change, because delaying them until delivery would inflict harm upon them without necessity.

The inheritance laws in the Quran are to be found mainly in chapter 2, Al-Baqarah and chapter 4, An-Nissaa'; a total of fourteen verses. There are several other verses that relate indirectly to inheritance such as verses 106 through 108 in chapter 5,

    Inheritance

[2:180] Bequest is prescribed for you when death approaches one of you, if he leaves behind wealth for parents and near relatives, according to usage, a duty (incumbent) upon those who guard (against evil).

[2:182] But he who fears an inclination to a wrong course or an act of disobedience on the part of the testator, and effects an agreement between the parties, there is no blame on him. Surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

[4:7] Men shall have a portion of what the parents and the near relatives leave, and women shall have a portion of what the parents and the near relatives leave, whether there is little or much of it; a stated portion.

[4:8] And when there are present at the division the relatives and the orphans and the needy, give them (something) out of it and speak to them kind words.

[4:9] And let those fear who, should they leave behind them weakly offspring, would fear on their account, so let them be careful of (their duty to) Allah, and let them speak right words.

[4:11] Allah enjoins you concerning your children: The male shall have the equal of the portion of two females; then if they are more than two females, they shall have two thirds of what the deceased has left, and if there is one, she shall have the half; and as for his parents, each of them shall have the sixth of what he has left if he has a child, but if he has no child and (only) his two parents inherit him, then his mother shall have the third; but if he has brothers, then his mother shall have the sixth after (the payment of) a bequest he may have bequeathed or a debt; your parents and your children, you know not which of them is the nearer to you in usefulness; this is an ordinance from Allah: Surely Allah is Knowing, Wise.

[4:12] And you shall have half of what your wives leave if they have no child, but if they have a child, then you shall have a fourth of what they leave after (payment of) any bequest they may have bequeathed or a debt; and they shall have the fourth of what you leave if you have no child, but if you have a child then they shall have the eighth of what you leave after (payment of) a bequest you may have bequeathed or a debt; and if a man or a woman leaves property to be inherited by neither parents nor offspring, and he (or she) has a brother or a sister, then each of them two shall have the sixth, but if they are more than that, they shall be sharers in the third after (payment of) any bequest that may have been bequeathed or a debt that does not harm (others); this is an ordinance from Allah: and Allah is Knowing, Forbearing.

[4:13] These are Allah's limits, and whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger, He will cause him to enter gardens beneath which rivers flow, to abide in them; and this is the great achievement.

[4:33] And to every one We have appointed heirs of what parents and near relatives leave; and as to those with whom your rights hands have ratified agreements, give them their portion; surely Allah is a witness over all things.

[4:176] They ask you for a decision of the law. Say: Allah gives you a decision concerning the person who has neither parents nor offspring; if a man dies (and) he has no son and he has a sister, she shall have half of what he leaves, and he shall be her heir she has no son; but if there be two (sisters), they shall have two thirds of what he leaves; and if there are brethren, men and women, then the male shall have the like of the portion of two females; Allah makes clear to you, lest you err; and Allah knows all things.

[5:106] O you who believe! call to witness between you when death draws nigh to one of you, at the time of making the will, two just persons from among you, or two others from among others than you, if you are travelling in the land and the calamity of death befalls you; the two (witnesses) you should detain after the prayer; then if you doubt (them), they shall both swear by Allah, (saying): We will not take for it a price, though there be a relative, and we will not hide the testimony of Allah for then certainly we should be among the sinners.

[5:107] Then if it becomes known that they both have been guilty of a sin, two others shall stand up in their place from among those who have a claim against them, the two nearest in kin; so they two should swear by Allah: Certainly our testimony is truer than the testimony of those two, and we have not exceeded the limit, for them most surely we should be of the unjust.

[5:108] This is more proper in order that they should give testimony truly or fear that other oaths be given after their oaths; and be careful of (your duty to) Allah, and hear; and Allah does not guide the transgressing people.

Yusuf Ali:   Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard in (the husband's) absence what Allah would have them guard. As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (Next), refuse to share their beds, (And last) beat them (lightly); but if they return to obedience, seek not against them Means (of annoyance): For Allah is Most High, great (above you all).

Shakir:   Men are the maintainers of women because Allah has made some of them to excel others and because they spend out of their property; the good women are therefore obedient, guarding the unseen as Allah has guarded; and (as to) those on whose part you fear desertion, admonish them, and leave them alone in the sleeping-places and beat them; then if they obey you, do not seek a way against them; surely Allah is High, Great.

Pickthall:   Men are in charge of women, because Allah hath made the one of them to excel the other, and because they spend of their property (for the support of women). So good women are the obedient, guarding in secret that which Allah hath guarded. As for those from whom ye fear rebellion, admonish them and banish them to beds apart, and scourge them. Then if they obey you, seek not a way against them. Lo! Allah is ever High, Exalted, Great.

Mohsin Khan:   Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has made one of them to excel the other, and because they spend (to support them) from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient (to Allah and to their husbands), and guard in the husband's absence what Allah orders them to guard (e.g. their chastity, their husband's property). As to those women on whose part you see ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (next), refuse to share their beds, (and last) beat them (lightly, if it is useful); but if they return to obedience, seek not against them means (of annoyance). Surely, Allah is Ever Most High, Most Great.

Saheeh:   Men are in charge of women by [right of] what Allah has given one over the other and what they spend [for maintenance] from their wealth. So righteous women are devoutly obedient, guarding in [the husband's] absence what Allah would have them guard. But those [wives] from whom you fear arrogance - [first] advise them; [then if they persist], forsake them in bed; and [finally], strike them. But if they obey you [once more], seek no means against them. Indeed, Allah is ever Exalted and Grand.

    Quote
Yusuf Ali:   Allah (thus) directs you as regards your Children's (Inheritance): to the male, a portion equal to that of two females: if only daughters, two or more, their share is two-thirds of the inheritance; if only one, her share is a half. For parents, a sixth share of the inheritance to each, if the deceased left children; if no children, and the parents are the (only) heirs, the mother has a third; if the deceased Left brothers (or sisters) the mother has a sixth. (The distribution in all cases ('s) after the payment of legacies and debts. Ye know not whether your parents or your children are nearest to you in benefit. These are settled portions ordained by Allah; and Allah is All-knowing, Al-wise.

Shakir:   Allah enjoins you concerning your children: The male shall have the equal of the portion of two females; then if they are more than two females, they shall have two-thirds of what the deceased has left, and if there is one, she shall have the half; and as for his parents, each of them shall have the sixth of what he has left if he has a child, but if he has no child and (only) his two parents inherit him, then his mother shall have the third; but if he has brothers, then his mother shall have the sixth after (the payment of) a bequest he may have bequeathed or a debt; your parents and your children, you know not which of them is the nearer to you in usefulness; this is an ordinance from Allah: Surely Allah is Knowing, Wise.

Pickthall:   Allah chargeth you concerning (the provision for) your children: to the male the equivalent of the portion of two females, and if there be women more than two, then theirs is two-thirds of the inheritance, and if there be one (only) then the half. And to each of his parents a sixth of the inheritance, if he have a son; and if he have no son and his parents are his heirs, then to his mother appertaineth the third; and if he have brethren, then to his mother appertaineth the sixth, after any legacy he may have bequeathed, or debt (hath been paid). Your parents and your children: Ye know not which of them is nearer unto you in usefulness. It is an injunction from Allah. Lo! Allah is Knower, Wise.

Mohsin Khan:   Allah commands you as regards your children's (inheritance): to the male, a portion equal to that of two females; if (there are) only daughters, two or more, their share is two-thirds of the inheritance; if only one, her share is a half. For parents, a sixth share of inheritance to each if the deceased left children; if no children, and the parents are the (only) heirs, the mother has a third; if the deceased left brothers (or sisters), the mother has a sixth. (The distribution in all cases is) after the payment of legacies he may have bequeathed or debts. You know not which of them, whether your parents or your children, are nearest to you in benefit; (these fixed shares) are ordained by Allah. And Allah is Ever All-Knower, All-Wise.

Saheeh:   Allah instructs you concerning your children: for the male, what is equal to the share of two females. But if there are [only] daughters, two or more, for them is two thirds of one's estate. And if there is only one, for her is half. And for one's parents, to each one of them is a sixth of his estate if he left children. But if he had no children and the parents [alone] inherit from him, then for his mother is one third. And if he had brothers [or sisters], for his mother is a sixth, after any bequest he [may have] made or debt. Your parents or your children - you know not which of them are nearest to you in benefit. [These shares are] an obligation [imposed] by Allah. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Wise.

(4:34) Men are the protec-tors and maintainers of women6 because Allah has made one of them excel over the other,7 and because they spend out of their possessions (to support them). Thus righteous women are obedient and guard the rights of men in their absence under Allah's protection.8 As for women of whom you fear rebellion, admonish them, and remain apart from them in beds, and beat them.9 Then if they obey you, do not seek ways to harm them. Allah is Exalted, Great.

If we read the concept of stewardship in the context of care and responsibility is clear to us that stewardship closer to the management and supervision and  protection and management of the affairs of the family , , and the ability to take the right decision at the right time . This is also not far from the benefit of the Shura - and his first wife counseling people - in shaping the vision of decision-making .
1 – The Qur’aan enjoins good treatment of one's wife: she is to be honoured and treated kindly, even when one no longer feels love in one's heart towards her. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“and live with them honourably. If you dislike them, it may be that you dislike a thing and Allaah brings through it a great deal of good”

    [al-Nisa’ 4:19]

2 – The Qur’aan explains that women have rights over their husbands, just as their husbands have rights over them. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And they (women) have rights (over their husbands as regards living expenses) similar (to those of their husbands) over them (as regards obedience and respect) to what is reasonable, but men have a degree (of responsibility) over them. And Allaah is All-Mighty, All-Wise”

    [al-Baqarah 2:228]

This verse indicates that the man has additional rights, commensurate with his role as protector and maintainer and his responsibility of spending (on his wife) etc.

3 – The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) enjoined kind treatment and honouring of one’s wife, and he described the best of people as those who are best to their wives. He said: “The best of you are those who are the best to their wives, and I am the best of you to my wives.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 3895; Ibn Maajah, 1977; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi.

    \\\\\\\
greatly misconceived by many people who focus merely on its surface meaning, taking it to allow wife beating. When the setting is not taken into account, it isolates the words in a way that distorts or falsifies the original meaning. Before dealing with the issue of wife-battering in the perspective of Islam, we should keep in mind that the original Arabic wording of the Holy Quran is the only authentic source of meaning. If one relies on the translation alone, one is likely to misunderstand it.

Even here, that maximum measure is limited by the following:

    a. It must be seen as a rare exception to the repeated exhortation of mutual respect, kindness and good treatment. Based on Quran and Hadith, this measure may be used in the cases of lewdness on the part of the wife or extreme refraction and rejection of the husband's reasonable requests on a consistent basis (nushuz). Even then, other measures, such as exhortation, should be tried first.

    b. As defined by Hadith, it is not permissible to strike anyone's face, cause any bodily harm or even be harsh. What the Hadith qualifies as "dharban ghayra mubarrih", or light striking, was interpreted by early jurists as a (symbolic) use of siwak! They further qualified permissible "striking" as that which leaves no mark on the body.

Misvaak is a branch of tree that is thinner than a tooth brush and about the same size as our every-day tooth brushes ..and person CAN NOT hit her wife on the face and he should not hit her wife on the body

    c. The permissibility of such symbolic expression of the seriousness of continued refraction does not imply its desirability. In several Hadiths, the Prophet (p.b.u.h.) discouraged this measure. Here are some of his sayings in this regard:

    "Do not beat the female servants of Allah";

"Some (women) visited my family complaining about their husbands (beating them). These (husbands) are not the best of you."

In another Hadith the Prophet (p.b.u.h.) is reported to have said: “How does anyone of you beat his wife as he beats the stallion camel and then he may embrace (sleep with) her?”

    d. True following of the Sunnah is to follow the example of the Prophet (p.b.u.h.) who never resorted to that measure, regardless of the circumstances.

    e. Islamic teachings are universal in nature. They respond to the needs and circumstances of diverse times, cultures and circumstances. Some measures may work in some cases and cultures or with certain persons but may not be effective in others. By definition, a "permissible" act is neither required, encouraged or forbidden. In fact it may be to spell out the extent of permissibility, such as in the issue at hand, rather than leaving it unrestricted or unqualified, or ignoring it all together. In the absence of strict qualifiers, persons may interpret the matter in their own way, which can lead to excesses and real abuse.

    f. Any excess, cruelty, family violence, or abuse committed by any "Muslim" can never be traced, honestly, to any revelatory text (Quran or Hadith). Such excesses and violations are to be blamed on the person (s) himself, as it shows that they are paying lip service to Islamic teachings and injunctions and failing to follow the true Sunnah of the Prophet (p.b.u.h.)."

    Allah Almighty knows best.

    some notes:

    - greatly misconceived by many people who focus merely on its surface meaning, taking it to allow wife beating. (lest we forget the spiritual meaning?)
    - Before dealing with the issue of wife-battering in the perspective of Islam, we should keep in mind that the original Arabic wording of the Holy Quran is the only authentic source of meaning. (keep in mind arabic when dispensing beatings?)
    - Based on Quran and Hadith, this measure may be used in the cases of lewdness on the part of the wife or extreme refraction and rejection of the husband's reasonable requests on a consistent basis (reasonable spouses resort to physical violence?)
    - What the Hadith qualifies as "dharban ghayra mubarrih", or light striking, was interpreted by early jurists as a (symbolic) use of siwak! They further qualified permissible "striking" as that which leaves no mark on the body. (aim to inflict pain not visible bruises?)
    - In another Hadith the Prophet (p.b.u.h.) is reported to have said: “How does anyone of you beat his wife as he beats the stallion camel and then he may embrace (sleep with) her?” (treat wife like a beast of burden?)

Toothbrush as symbolic expression is nothing in front of that violence

Where does the western woman stand in scale of humanity and who represents her?
Are they represented by the artificial ladies of Hollywood who appear on the TV screens, who are suppressed by the massive work load and by men?
When comparing two different cultures, can a real study be made in order to compare between the realities of the two cultures, and thus reach a practical answer (and not just an informative one) as to which of the two is more honorable and civilized?

In a media that is controlled by corrupt people, women who adhere to Hijaab are considered as a clear evidence for her humility, backwardness degradation, ignorance … etc. On the other hand, trading with women’s bodies was never considered as such…!!
We are trying to claim that the situation of the Muslim or Arab woman is in the highest level of perfection and development. Additionally, we do not believe that the humongous stress she faces is due to her being a female, but rather it is part of what men face, all of which comes as a natural result of the nation being oppressed, tyrannized and forced to follow other cultures.

When we address the situation and status of the western woman, we will do it from an inside look and we will let those concerned do the talking, and let numbers and statistics inform about reality.
We will raise a real dialogue between two civilizations, not only a methodological or ideological one, but a true comparison between the two realities. The topic we chose to start with and address is; “Domestic Violence Against Women In The West”.
We must notice that such violence, which goes beyond human limits and dimensions, is not exercised by illiterate people who live in the countryside somewhere, nor in the poorest areas. Conversely, such abuse is practiced by slick men like those who appear in Hollywood who are in some cases well educated having high social status. It is exercised against weak women, regardless how fine they may appear to be … after returning to their homes; they become nothing more than slaves under the effect of lash of humility and violence.

We will limit our talk to domestic violence against women in the west, and we will prove by numbers that the humiliated woman is not the one who lives in Afghanistan and wears her face cover. We will illustrate that such woman is not the one from the Arabian Peninsula, who is in fact well protected and honored in a community that calls for her respect. Real degrade and vulgarity is that which makes a woman cheap merchandise just like any other tradable good, and made her subject to attacks and all types of oppression and inequity.
    The United States of America:

Violence, in all its shapes, has afflicted the weakest member of the family, namely women and children. Things like, secrecy, no sufficient evidence and legal and social barriers make it difficult to obtain very accurate data regarding violence against women, which is, according to social scholars, is the least type of crime that gets reported.

Ironically, most of the available information regarding violence against women is collected from small statistics done here and there, which give a quick general view for something as important as this international phenomenon. Such information can not be used to provide precise indicators to the level of violence and abuse practiced against women, but it certainly clarifies that violence and abuse at homes is a widespread phenomenon, and that the woman is the victim in most cases.

    •         In 1980, a statistic was done by Appleton, which included six hundred and twenty American ladies showed that 35% of them were subject to physical husband abuse at least once. In 1981, Chtraws expressed that husband abuse ranges between 50-60% in the United States. On the other hand, in 1982, the percentage was estimated to be 21% by Russell, while Baglo estimated it to range between 25-30%.
    •         In 1984, based on her research, Walker pointed out that American women are well experienced in physical abuse, and that 41% of women experienced physical abuse by their mothers and 44% by their fathers. 44% of them witnessed accidents of physical abuse by their fathers on their mothers.
    •         Two thousand nine hundred and twenty eight people were killed in 1985 by one of their family members, and if only consider the case of women we see that two thirds of them were killed by their husbands or boyfriends. Then again, in 1984, 20% of women were killed by their husbands and 10% by their boyfriends.
    •         Statistics prove that three out of every four women were subject to abuse; 9% of which was done by ex-husbands, 35% by boyfriends and 32% by ex-boyfriends.
    •         Another statistic that studied the percentage of attackers confirmed that ex-husbands or separated husbands committed 79% of the attacks, while husbands committed 21% of the attacks.
    •         Statistics proved that the most common cause for physical injury of women (and in some cases the only cause) was their boyfriends. It was higher in number than injuries caused by car accidents, robberies and rape all accumulated.
    •         According to a study, one out of every four women who seek medical care by a family physician, report that they physically abused by their boyfriends. 37% of such women reported that they hardly overcame them being sexually abused in their childhood, and 29% reported that they were sexually abused when they reached puberty. Also, women who were subject to such abuse experienced depression more than women who did not.

    •         Results of a questionnaire that was done on six thousand American families showed that 50% of the men continuously abuse their wives and children physically.
    •         Children who were subjected to physical abuse by their fathers usually grow up to be violent people with their wives and abusive of them three times more than other men who did not experience abuse from their fathers in childhood. Additionally, children whose fathers were very harsh and abusive are one thousand times more likely to be abusive to their wives.
    •         More than three million kids are endangered by parents’ abuse per year.
    •         One million women per year suffer being the victim of abuse by a family member that does not reach the extent of death; this statistic is one of the most moderate ones.

    •         Four million American women a year experience life threatening abuse by their boyfriends. Moreover, one out of every three grown up women face physical abuse by their boyfriends at least once.
    •         In 1993 five hundred and fifty seven men were arrested for their abuse to women.
    •         In 1994, 21% of physical abuse cases against women were done relatives, while only 4% of the attack cases against men were done by female relatives.
    •         90-95% of the victims of domestic violence were women.
    •         Children who live in homes were the husband and wife attack one another are subject to physical abuse fifteen hundred times more than other children.
    •         40-60% of the men who ill-treat their wives physically abuse their children.
    •         In one of the studies done, 27% of the murder cases inside the same family were children.

    •         90% of children who get killed before the age of ten were killed as a result of a family dispute, and 56% of them were younger than two years of age.
    •         In 1994, two hundred and forty three thousand of those who received medical care in the “Emergency Room” were treated for injuries resulting from physical abuse done by a relative, and the ratio of men to women in this number was 1:9.
    •         There are at least four million reports of violence against women yearly, and around 20% of them happened in the house.
    •         In 1991, more than ninety women were killed weekly; nine out of every ten were killed by a man.
    •         In around 30% of the family violence cases weapons were used.
    •         95% of family violence cases were attacks by men on women.

All religions are originally one religion revealed by Allah through HisProphets and Messengers. They are different in legislation and laws and agree incontent and objectives. The main message of Islam is the same basic message inall revealed religions, as they are all are from the same source: to guidepeople to worship Allah alone, to do righteous deeds that entail enteringParadise and to refrain from vices and sins entailing entering the Hellfire. However, Allah has distinguished the religion of Islam from other religionswith some characteristics that made it the only religion worthy to be followedand the only religion lasting to the Day of Resurrection. Here are the mostprominent differences between Islam and other religions:

1- Islamic faith is compatible with rationality. It is free from superstitionsand irrational beliefs, and its principals are simple and clear. Allah is theOnly God, the Eternal Refuge, He neither begets nor is born, nor is there toHim any equivalent. He created this life for testing, and it does not end atdeath, but it entails immortality in the Paradiseor the Hellfire according to one's faith and deeds. The Holy Quran is a miraclebook. It's the perfect words of Allah revealed through His angel Gabriel to theprophet Muhammad to guide all people to truth.

2- The direct connection to Allah Almighty without mediation or religiouspriesthood; the Muslim Scholar, no matter how much pious or righteous he is. Hedoes not forgive sins, listen to confessions. nor sell lands in Paradise to people as does the monk in Christianity.Rather, he prays and asks for forgiveness, and performs the obligatory dutiesas other Muslims do.

3- Islam is a universal religion. It is valid for all kinds of people at alltimes and places. Our Prophet (peace be upon him) taught us that there is nopreference for an Arab on a non-Muslim or a white person on a black one exceptin terms of piety. Allah says in the Qur'an:

    "يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاكُم مِّنذَكَرٍ وَأُنثَىٰوَجَعَلْنَاكُمْشُعُوبًا وَقَبَائِلَ لِتَعَارَفُوا ۚ إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْعِندَاللَّهِ أَتْقَاكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌ" (الحجرات: 13)

(interpretation of the meaning): "O mankind, indeed We have created youfrom male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know oneanother. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the mostrighteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted" (49: 13)

4- Unlike other sacred scriptures, which have been distorted according to humanwhims, the Quran is the only scripture that has been perfectly preserved inboth its words and meaning over thousands of years. Allah Almighty says in theQur'an:

    " إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا الذِّكْرَ وَإِنَّالَهُ لَحَافِظُونَ" (الحجر:9)

Interpretation: " Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur'an and indeed, wewill be its guardian" (15:9)

5 - Islam does not admit any separation between material and moral aspects.Islamic law guarantees satisfaction of the emotional and material needs of thehuman being, without negligence or exaggeration. One the other hand, the Westwas divided between two cultures: Christian culture denied the physical needsand followed the monastic order, and a secular culture born as a reaction tothe dominance of the first culture in Europe. It separated between body and spirit and turned man into individual parts.

6 - Islam is a comprehensive religion. It's not just a religion, rather it is acomprehensive lifestyle. Islam is the only religion that offers humanssolutions to their problems, from the largest to the smallest and in all fields(politics, economy, education, ethics, administration, hygiene ...etc.) TheIslamic system represents an integrated approach that ensures continuity oflife on a sound approach, unlike other religions and ideologies which arelimited to one aspect of human life, whether spiritual, political or economic.

7- Islam is a practical religion. Its message is not just about theorizing andcalling for good. All religions and principles of the world call for humanvirtues, ideals and values, but they do not offer practical ways and means toachieve those virtues and values in practical life. Although some of thesereligions propose some practical methods and apply them, these methods have notproved effective as Islam did.

For example, almost all religions renounce racismand believe equality of all human beings before their Creator, and that thedistinction between them is in piety, not in terms of race or nationality...etc. Everyone agrees on that, as well as the statutes of some countries.Nevertheless, has any religion or legislation succeeded in eliminating racialdiscrimination radically in all its forms? The answer is, of course, no, racialdiscrimination still exists even in the twenty-first century. However, Islamhas offered a practical solution for each problem in two aspects:

1- The cognitive aspect: through the texts of revelation that most Muslims knowfrom the Quran and the Sunnah.

2 - The practical aspect: as for racism, the practical solution is reflected inperforming the pilgrimage of Muslims to Makkah, where Muslims come from thefive continents of the world and of all races and ethnicities: Africans,Asians, Indians, Europeans, Arabs...etc. All wear the same clothes and performthe same rituals.

Islamalso offered humanity practical remedies for all its problems, for example,Zakat fights poverty, Shura (consultation) fights injustice and tyranny, prayerprevents indecency and evil, and fasting protects oneself from incest andinfidelity, and many more

The concept of reward and punishment is pretty understandable. But ritual worship and repetitive chanting?  What does this test? Why are all your deeds worthless if you don't prostrate and sing? Not at all simple or clear.

Rituals in Islam are nothing new
All rites are found in the previous heavenly messages
    Judaism and Christianity
But after Judaism and Christianity distortion
Allah sent Prophet Muhammad peace be up on him to correct the previous messages
    To worship one God
These rituals and actions include the supervision and guidance of God
As evidence of your submission to God and the execution of His orders
How your boss can evaluate your business without executing his orders!

Looking back, what seems strange to me now is not that people would wish to embody Jesus’ values, but that others would criticize them for it. What seems even stranger is that few Christians, in the modern day, match this profile. is that Muslims seemed to embody Jesus’ values better than Christians.

    1. Jesus was bearded, as are most Muslims, but only the rare Christian.

    2. Jesus dressed modestly. If we close our eyes and form a mental picture, we see flowing robes, from wrists to ankles—much like the loose Arabian thobes and the Indio-Pakistani shalwar kameez, typical of the Muslims of those areas. What we don’t imagine is the revealing or seductive clothing so ubiquitous in Christian cultures.

    3. Jesus’ mother covered her hair, and this practice was maintained among the Christian women of the Holy Land up to the middle of the twentieth century. Again, this is a practice maintained among Muslims as well as Orthodox Jews (of which Jesus was one), but not among modern day Christians.
    Manners

    1. Jesus focused upon salvation and eschewed finery. How many “righteous” Christians fit this “It’s not just on Sundays” profile? Now how many “five prayers a day, every day of the year” Muslims?

    2. Jesus spoke with humility and kindness. He didn’t “showboat.” When we think of his speeches, we don’t imagine theatrics. He was a simple man known for quality and truth. How many preachers and how many evangelists follow this example?

    3. Jesus taught his disciples to offer the greeting of “Peace” (Luke 10:5), and then set the example: “Peace be with you” (Luke 24:36, John 20:19, John 20:21, John 20:26). Who continues this practice to this day, Christians or Muslims? “Peace be with you” is the meaning of the Muslim greeting, “Assalam alaikum.” Interestingly enough, we find this greeting in Judaism as well (Genesis 43:23, Numbers 6:26, Judges 6:23, I Samuel 1:17 and I Samuel 25:6).
    Religious Practices

    1. Jesus was circumcised (Luke 2:21). Paul taught it wasn’t necessary (Rom 4:11 and Gal 5:2). Muslims believe it is.

    2. Jesus didn’t eat pork, in keeping with Old Testament law (Leviticus 11:7 and Deuteronomy 14:. Muslims also believe pork is forbidden. Christians … well, you get the idea.

    3. Jesus didn’t give or take usury, in compliance with the Old Testament prohibition (Exodus 22:25). Usury is forbidden in the Old Testament and the Quran, as it was forbidden in the religion of Jesus. The economies of most Christian countries, however, are structured upon usury.

    4. Jesus didn’t fornicate, and abstained from extramarital contact with women. Now, this issue extends to the least physical contact with the opposite sex. With the exception of performing religious rituals and helping those in need, Jesus never even touched a woman other than his mother. Strictly practicing Orthodox Jews maintain this practice to this day in observance of Old Testament law. Likewise, practicing Muslims don’t even shake hands between the sexes. Can Christian “hug your neighbor” and “kiss the bride” congregations make the same claim?
    Practices of Worship

    1. Jesus purified himself with washing prior to prayer, as was the practice of the pious prophets who preceded him (see Exodus 40:31-32 in reference to Moses and Aaron), and as is the practice of Muslims.

    2. Jesus prayed in prostration (Matthew 26:39), like the other prophets (see Nehemiah 8:6 with regard to Ezra and the people, Joshua 5:14 for Joshua, Genesis 17:3 and 24:52 for Abraham, Exodus 34:8 and Numbers 20:6 for Moses and Aaron). Who prays like that, Christians or Muslims?

    3. Jesus fasted for more than a month at a time (Matthew 4:2 and Luke 4:2), as did the pious before him (Exodus 34:28, I Kings 19:, and as do Muslims in the annual fast of the month of Ramadan.

    4. Jesus made pilgrimage for the purpose of worship, as all Orthodox Jews aspire to do. The Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca is well known, and is alluded to in the Bible (see The First and Final Commandment).
    Matters of Creed

    1. Jesus taught the oneness of God (Mark 12:29-30, Matthew 22:37 and Luke 10:27), as conveyed in the first commandment (Exodus 20:3). Nowhere did he declare the Trinity.

    2. Jesus declared himself a man and a prophet of God (see above), and nowhere claimed divinity or divine sonship. Which creed are the above points more consistent with—the Trinitarian formula or the absolute monotheism of Islam?

One wonders what happened between the practices of the first generation of Jesus’ followers and the Christians of modern day. At the same time, we have to respect the fact that Muslims exemplify Jesus’ teachings more than Christians do. Furthermore, we should remember that the Old Testament foretold three prophets to follow. John the Baptist and Jesus Christ were numbers one and two, and Jesus Christ himself predicted the third and last. Hence, both Old and New Testaments speak of a final prophet, and we would be amiss if we didn’t consider that final prophet to be Muhammad, and the final revelation to be that of Islam

akay comes out with SOME FACTS & SOME NONSENSE ., let me see whether akay could answer this ..NO ONE ANSWERED the simple question about distortion
Rituals in Islam are nothing new
All rites are found in the previous heavenly messages
    Judaism and Christianity
But after Judaism and Christianity distortion

you are riot dear akay true Muslim folks do follow plenty of rituals that are found in OT & NT., but Islamic heroes added plenty more rituals to control loot,  booty  along with  bed room monitors in the name of Islamic family rules

    Quote
Allah sent Prophet Muhammad peace be up on him to correct the previous messages  To worship one God

Na.. Allah sent no one., or Allah seen every one and everything  including dogs, cats ,rats ...   rest of your post is gibberish dear akay
    Quote

Allah, with all the prophets of Adam (as)
To Muhammad peace be upon him
    All prophets informed God's message
    For people
A respectable man does not rejoice in the disease of any human being

Because God can test and afflict any human being with any disease
This is the ethics of Islam

    Every man can get sick
    faultless
God is capable of healing man
Or test him to endure a lesion
    for exemple

A rich man but can not have children, no matter how difficult
    - A poor man has children
    - A strong man and can use his power to do good but do not do it
    - weak man, but help people his best
    - Unfaithful and polytheistic man but he has all the blessings
    - Muslim man has healthy illnesses

    tests  for  everyone

    Illness = test
    Health = test
    Disbelief = test
    Money = test
    etc
and who will save you from death at any moment?

and who will reward you for rejecting that Allah is only one

     not three?

and who will protect you from standing before Allah  in the afterlife?

Allah punish you for your sins and if you not hear the truth

Sheikh Deedat was a charismatic, self-taught Muslim scholar from South Africa, most famous for engaging Christian evangelists in public debate. In 1986, he debated Jimmy Swaggart and even challenged the late Pope John Paul II to a debate in the Vatican Square.

His son, Yousuf Deedat, calls him a "lion of the stage".

But while Sheikh Deedat was most famous for his sharp and impassioned debating style, he was also a prolific writer.

He published more than 20 books and wrote free literature and pamphlets, of which millions of copies were distributed across the globe.

Many of his publications were translated into other languages, and in 1986 Saudi Arabia awarded Deedat the King Faisal Award for his services to Islam.

This impressive body of work made Ahmed Deedat a celebrated figure in the Muslim world.
Yousuf Deedat recalls how former South African President Nelson Mandela called his father during a presidential visit to Saudi Arabia in 1994, telling him that wherever he went, people inquired about the Muslim scholar.

"When he met youngsters, they all used to ask him: Mr Mandela, how is Sheikh Deedat? And when he went on television interviews, the first question the presenter would ask is: How is Sheikh Deedat in South Africa?"

    A self-made scholar

August 8 marks 10 years since Deedat's death of kidney failure at the age of 87. He was bedridden for the final 10 years of his life, after suffering a stroke that left him paralysed and unable to speak.

Though doctors initially gave him little chance to live, Deedat continued to engage in religious work until his death - communicating by using a grid of the alphabet, which he used to spell out words letter-by-letter by signalling with his eyes.

Such tenacity was a defining characteristic of his life.

An Indian immigrant who moved to join his father in the South African city of Durban at the age of nine, Deedat proved himself an excellent student before poverty forced him out of school and into work.

Without formal education past age 16, "he was self-taught through experience and a penchant for reading, debating, discussion, and a profound sense of commitment to a mission and goal", according to the Islamic Propagation Centre International (IPCI) website, an organisation Sheikh Deedat started with a close friend Goolam Hoosein Vanker.

Today, institutions such as IPCI continue his missionary work through training, lectures, mosque visits, inter-faith debates, literature and videos

Why are two women witnesses equivalent to only one man?

This question is asked my by many people even by Muslims who don’t have sufficient knowledge about their religion as they consider it as injustice and inequality in Islam concerning woman.

It is not true that two female witnesses are always considered as equal to only one male witness. It is true only certain cases like financial transaction. However, Islam accepts a woman’s testimony as equal to that of a man. In fact, the woman’s testimony can even invalidate the man’s.

The woman’s testimony can even invalidate the man’s. If a man accuses his wife of unchastity, he is required by Quran to swear five times as evidence of the wife is guilt. If the wife denies and swears similarly five times, she is not considered guilty and in either case the marriage is dissolved. God, Almighty, said: “And for those who launch a charge against their spouses, and have (in support) no evidence but their own, their solitary evidence (can be received) if they bear witness four times (with an oath) by God that they are solemnly telling the truth; and the fifth (oath) (should be) that they solemnly invoke the curse of God on themselves if they tell a lie. But it would avert the punishment from the wife, if she bears witness four times (with an oath) By God, that (her husband) is telling a lie; and the fifth (oath) should be that she solemnly invokes the wrath of God on herself if (her accuser) is telling the truth.”(chapter 24: verse 6- 9)

In other cases, women’s testimony is more valid than men. In case of breastfeeding, she is the only one and the more valid to claim that this person is your brother or sister foster. The woman maid is the only who may claim that this boy is the son of certain lady or not. Another example from Prophet Mohammed’s era is the solitary witness of Lady Aisha, prophet’s wife, is a reliable source for many men and women to take Hadiths, the saying of the prophet, as an authentic one. Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) has narrated no less than 2220 Hadiths (the saying of the prophet) which are considered authentic only on her solitary evidence. This is sufficient proof that one witness of a woman can also be accepted.

    The Message of Jesus

The Prophets of the Old Testament such as Abraham, Noah and Jonah never preached that God is part of a Trinity, and did not believe in Jesus as their saviour. Their message was simple: there is one God and He alone deserves your worship. It doesn’t make sense that God sent Prophets for thousands of years with the same essential message, and then all of a sudden he says he is in a Trinity and that you must believe in Jesus to be saved.

The truth is that Jesus preached the same message that the Prophets in the Old Testament preached. There is a passage in the Bible which really emphasizes his core message. A man came to Jesus and asked “Which is the first commandment of all?”Jesus answered, “The first of all the commandments is Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.’’[Mark 12:28-29]. So the greatest commandment, the most important belief according to Jesus is that God is one. If Jesus was God he would have said ‘I am God, worship me’, but he didn’t. He merely repeated a verse from the Old Testament confirming that God is One.

Some people claim that Jesus came to die for the sins of the world. But consider the following statement of Jesus: This is eternal life: to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you sent. I have glorified you on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do.[John 17:3-4]. Jesus said this before he was caught and taken to be crucified. It is clear from this verse that Jesus did not come to die for the sins of the world, as he finished the work God gave him before he was taken to be crucified.

Also Jesus said “salvation is of the Jews” [John 4:22]. So according to this we don’t need to believe in the Trinity or that Jesus died for our sins to attain salvation since the Jews don’t have these beliefs.
    5. The Early Christians

Historically there were many sects in early Christianity who had a range of beliefs regarding Jesus[1]. Some believed Jesus was God, others believed Jesus was not God but partly divine, and yet others believed he was a human being and nothing more. Trinitarian Christianity which is the belief that God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are one in three persons became the dominant sect of Christianity, once it was formalized as the state religion of the Roman Empire in the 4th Century. Christians who denied Jesus being God were persecuted by the Roman Authorities[2]. From this point onwards the Trinitarian belief became widespread amongst Christians. There were various movements in early Christianity which denied the Trinity, among the more well known of them is Adoptionism and Arianism.

Dr Jerald Dirks who is an expert on early Christianity had this to say on the subject: Early Christianity was quite conflicted about the issue of the nature of Jesus. The various Adoptionist positions within early Christianity were numerous and at times dominate. One can even speculate that Arian and Nestorian Christianity might well be an extremely sizable source within Christianity today, if it were not for the fact that these two branches of Christianity, which were located primarily in the middle east and in North Africa were so similar to the Islamic teaching regarding the nature of Jesus that they quite naturally were absorbed into Islam at the beginning of the seventh century.”[3]

Since there were so many sects in early Christianity, each with different beliefs about Jesus and with their own versions of the Bible, which one can we say was following the true teachings of Jesus?

It doesn’t make sense that God sends countless Prophets like Noah, Abraham and Moses to tell people to believe in one God, and then suddenly sends a radically different message of the Trinity which contradicts his previous Prophets teachings. It is clear that the sect of Christianity who believed Jesus to be a human Prophet and nothing more, were following the true teachings of Jesus. This is because their concept of God is the same as that which was taught by the Prophets in the Old Testament.
    Jesus in Islam

The Islamic belief about Jesus demystifies for us who the real Jesus was. Jesus in Islam was an extraordinary individual, chosen by God as a Prophet and sent to the Jewish people. He never preached that he himself was God or the actual son of God. He was miraculously born without a father, and he performed many amazing miracles such as healing the blind and the lepers and raising the dead – all by God’s permission. Muslims believe that Jesus will return before the day of Judgement to bring justice and peace to the world. This Islamic belief about Jesus is similar to the belief of some of the early Christians. In the Quran, God addresses the Christians about Jesus in the following way:

O People of the Book, do not commit excesses in your religion, and do not say anything about God except the truth: the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, was nothing more than a messenger of God, His word, directed to Mary and a spirit from Him. So believe in God and His Messengers and do not speak of a ‘Trinity’– stop [this], that is better for you– God is only one God, He is far above having a son, everything in the heavens and earth belongs to Him and He is the best one to trust. [4:171]

Islam is not just another religion. It is the same message preached by Moses, Jesus and Abraham. Islam literally means ‘submission to God’ and it teaches us to have a direct relationship with God. It reminds us that since God created us, no one should be worshipped except God alone. It also teaches that God is nothing like a human being or like anything that we can imagine. The concept of God is summarized in the Quran as:

“Say, He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He does not give birth, nor was He born, and there is nothing like Him.” (Quran 112:1-4)[4]

Becoming a Muslim is not turning your back to Jesus. Rather it’s going back to the original teachings of Jesus and obeying him.

it conflicted about the issue of the nature of Jesus.

4). Since there were so many sects in early Christianity, each with different beliefs about Jesus and with their own versions of the Bible,

which one can we say was following the true teachings of Jesus?[

Rather it’s going back to the original teachings of Jesus and obeying him
    .

Islam is the religion of truth
Islam, Christianity and Judaism unearthly messages from God
But after a misrepresentation of the gospel and Altorarh

God sent the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him

    To correct this distortion

It is true that the Prophet had religious discussions with Jews and Christians, but they took place in Medina only after 13 years of revelation of the Koran. The allegation that these Jews and Christians were the source is perverse, since in these discussions the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was performing

the role of a teacher and a preacher all by inviting them to embrace Islam and pointing out that they had deviated from their true teachings of monotheism. Many of these Jews and Christians embraced Islam a little later.

Abu Huraira, narrated that the Prophet said, "Every child is born with a true faith a muslim(i.e. to worship none but Allah Alone) but his parents convert him to Judaism or to Christianity
Since there is One God and one human kind; as men are not better than women and whites are not better than blacks, nor are Arabs better than Indians, etc..., then there is One Sender and one recipient, therefore it is logical to have one religion sent by God to the human kind with different messengers through different eras.

This religion should not be limited, in order to suit all people. It should not be called after a person or a tribe or a geographic region like Hinduism which is called after Hind or India, Judaism after the tribe of Judas, Christianity after Jesus Christ and Buddhism after Buddha.

The religion of God is called Islam which is a concept meaning: submitting to God and worshipping Him purely without associating other gods with Him, in order to reach peace and harmony with the universe.

Islam is the religion of Jesus and Moses and Abraham and all the Prophets since Adam (peace be upon them all). Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is merely one of the messengers of Islam, the final messenger as called by the Quran (3:144):

    {Muhammad is no more than a messenger of Allah, like the messengers that passed away before him. If he dies or is killed, will you turn back on your heels (become unbelievers)? He who turns back on his heels will do no harm to Allah; soon Allah will reward the thankful.}

The main creed in Islam is to worship none but Allah, the Exalted, who is the only true God since He is the creator of everyone and everything; He is unique and there is no one comparable to Him. If a god walks on earth and eats like everyone thus discharges what he eats then he is surely not a god.

The true God does not have to come to earth to show Himself, He chooses prophets and messengers from among people who speak their own language and understands their culture. Allah the Exalted mentions in His book what is translated as:

    {Certainly we have sent you (O Muhammad) with the truth as a bearer of good news and as a Warner, for there has not been a nation which has not had a Warner}

So Allah has sent a prophet to warn every nation on earth from the beginning of time until the time of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) who addressed the final reminder.

This is to worship none but the only true God, Allah, otherwise there will be major consequences in the hereafter on those who reject. Why was Muhammad (peace be upon him) the final Warner? Because Allah has perfected and completed His religion to mankind as mentioned in the Quran (5:3):

    {…This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion…}

So the previous prophets before Muhammad (peace be upon them all) preached Islam by asking their followers to believe in only one unique God, the creator. Over time, people changed this ideology to what is known today as Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, etc… It is mentioned in the Quran what is translated as:

{And this (submission to Allah, Islam) was enjoined by Ibrahim (Abraham) upon his sons and by Jacob (saying), "O my sons! Allah has chosen for you the (true) religion, then die not except in the Faith of Islam (as Muslims - Islamic Monotheism)."} (Al-Baqara, Chapter 2, Verse 132)

{Do you claim that Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and their descendents were Jews or Christians? Say, "Are you more knowledgeable than Allah?” Who is more unjust than he who conceals the testimony received from Allah (Islam)? Allah is not unaware of what you do."} (Al-Baqara, Chapter 2, Verse 140)

Furthermore, Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) as saying:

"I am most akin to Jesus Christ among the whole of mankind, and all the Prophets are of different mothers but belong to one religion and no Prophet was raised between me and Jesus." (Muslim – Book 30, Hadith 5835)

In conclusion, Islam is the final revelation from God sent to humanity. It is everyone’s duty to study Islam and understand it in order to attain final salvation.
