Great speech HO!! Well done!!  Afro

Thanks guys! Well ... looks like the votes were distributed a fair amount, well done everyone else, including being nominated.

Oh and er ... ahem, *cough, cough* I've prepared a speech ....  grin12

    The highest, I've been voted?
    Not intelligent like Tlaloc,
or have seductive eyes like Naerys,
or be funny as Ephermeral, Grin
    or articulate as stardust,
or have the warmth of IsLame,
    this all must be noted!

Unable to utilize the BB tags like yeeveezee,
I'm not even vivacious like J&T.
Neither as huggable as ateapotist, hugs
    or charming like IraqiAtheist,
    this is quite a list!

It must have been the luck of a poem being viewed,
on the front page or others such as those enjoyed by Abood,
for the sheer coincidence of discovering after all this time,
I truly forgot how fun it is to rhyme!

So while I prepare to start work & buy a few neck ties,
in the coming weeks I won't be here as much like PerviousSkies.

And finally with the mighty superhero force of the Q-Man,
"Beat this!", I say to the melodic surahs of the Quran!

     thnkyu

So you did not find any words that rhyme with RIBS?
Then go home and and strait to your room
sneak a bottle of water to refresh with a few sips
You can also sneak some bread filled with tuna and mashroom
Or even some peanuts or potato chips....

    Articulate... Huh?

     Cheesy

My english isn't good though, I make a lot of spelling errors and grammar errors. I don't have a very broad vocabularly, and find certain people's writing a bit annoying because i'm like 'ehhh I have to go google a million words to understand what they wrote' lol, but it's good I learn new words. I'm not even sure about the definition of articulate, I think it means good with words.

    Thanks again :-)

    @Naerys: lol

stardust: I don't think one has to use exotic words to be articulate imo. "Articulate" has several meanings, but the one I was implying was "expressing yourself easily and clearly" - which I think other posters here would agree that your posts have a clear flow in expression and the formation of ideas which lead up to your points and opinions.

Once upon a time it all began with a poetry thread.
    "I'll give it a go", I said.

I wrote one and it got traction,
    especially from the surprised reaction.

    Honestly, mine aren't that impressive,
however it is easy to get obsessive.

    And you should be aware,
while I've lost half the original flair,
I give you a dare, to make one and share!

How you figure it's far too early? Last month noms started on Aug 4, and poll closed Aug 17.

Yeah, I suppose my vote would have to go to Ishina as well.
