  • Poll: 70% of Israeli Arab women think slaps are not domestic abuse
     OP - November 24, 2008, 02:42 PM

    Quote
Some 70 percent of Arab women in Israel believe women who are pushed, slapped or struck by their male partners are not victims of domestic violence, according to a poll conducted by the Na'amat women's organization.
The organization conducted the survey to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
Some 73 percent believe women whose partners curse or humiliate them are not victims of violence.
Asked whether they agree with the claim that "sometimes a man acting violently toward a woman is justified and she understands this," 23 percent of the respondents said yes, compared to 71 percent who said they did not.

It is very sad when the women themselves believe it is O.K. to beat them.

By the way I believe it was wrong for this research to mix the Christian women with the Muslims because there are big cultural difference between them.

Their own parents slapped them and they slap their own kids. To realize that the act *is* abusif, will be for them to admit they are an active part of the cycle (victim as well as victimizer).

And I agree Examine that the religions should not be bundled.

"Ask the slave girl; she will tell you the truth.' So the Apostle called Burayra to ask her. Ali got up and gave her a violent beating first, saying, 'Tell the Apostle the truth.'"

If a slap isn't domestic violence then what is? How much will they take before they consider it as "domestic violence"? Punch? Knife in the chest? Burned with a cigarette?

oh Muslim, oh servant of Allah, this is a Jew behind me, come and kill him!"

I guess a person will never truly understand why these women don't leave straight off without being one of the women who find themselves in that situation.

If a woman was abused as a child, a slap will not seem like domestic violence, it will seem normal to her.

Inhale the good shit, exhale the bullshit.

Plus, the whole society around her CONDONES this. It?s a lot harder, to leave in such a case - where does one go? No neighbour or family-member will understand you, they will all side with your tormentor! Courts won?t help, next to no ngo?s (let alone government agencies) to help.

We're no differently evolved to Gelada baboons really. Their females and infants are 'kept in line' by cuffs and minor bites.

Religion is ignorance giftwrapped in lyricism.

It's less about being 'used to it', than about 'where should they run away to, which is going to be better/safer?'
    There's no 'rights'; or laws; or refuges; or council houses; or social security; etc; etc; etc; etc; etc; etc; etc; etc; etc; etc; etc; etc; etc; etc; etc; etc; etc; etc;

Bet inow f you ask those females and the infant they will tell you that cuffs and minor bites are not domestic abuse.

Their society condones it because their allah creature orders it to be so in verse 4:34.

The Saudi constitution is the KKKoran.

Therefore slapping or abusing a women in any way is constitutional, including taking them as slaves (4:24), raping them (4:24), confining them until death claims them (4:15), and beating them (4:34).

No court is going to negate something that is constitutional.

So muslims should understand why some of us "najis" kufars feel no guilt when we insult their allah guy.

None of this ugly shit that we read about in that sad excuse for a country should surprise anybody.
