Jeebus H. Crisps, I have never had to clarify that for someone before.

Cheesy Get used to it honey, I have had to say the same thing so many times that I am over the shock that anyone could think that way anymore.

I don't think I have let go of hope yet...but I really am beginning to realise that ignorance is quite common in the world. Shame really. We are all doomed.

Rape is rape no matter which gender does it, though I fail to see how man could be raped unless he was spiked with Viagra or something...

    Hmmm...

Well, two big burly guys dressed as Tinkerbell could hold you down, while others dressed as Father Christmas and his elves, play Hide the Weasel without your consent.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I remain.

I chose to get circumcised at 17, don't tell me I never believed.

    Quote
Up until 1991 there was no such crime as marital rape, however since then law agencies do take claims of it seriously, and do take action.

Are you bolding that part out in order to show us marital rape never existed before?  or that it was never reported before?

Anyway there is no rape of a wife in Islam, how can there be when she is halal for him?  Roll Eyes

Most of the Muslim wives are indeed submissive and also most of the Muslim men are henpecked too in real life., Ella.

"I am not in the mood, honey" and "I am very tired" or "Not today, dear", still works. People care and this just does not apply to Muslims.

There could be some isolated cases of some Muslim brute who forced his wife into sex with him, when she did not want it but that cannot come under rape. We cannot cry rape.

The one I posted was about the problems faced by non-Muslim women.

    Good night

    BMZ

Nobody 'cries rape'  in the situation you have described. It is, by any measure, rape, pure and simple. Whenever any physically stronger person forces any weaker person into sex, it is rape. Whenever psychological pressure is applied to obtain sex from an unwilling victim, that is rape. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a brute animal.
The law was clarified to  make rape as much of an offence inside marriage as outside because of people with your Neanderthal outlook.

Religion is ignorance giftwrapped in lyricism.

Rape within marriage is not acknowledged in Islam. Islam gives all the power to men and women are forced to be subservient.

I am going to share an example from my life.

A close woman relative in my family (my family is still muslim) has been raped many times. By rape I mean that "she does not want to have sex but is forced to do it because her husband does not considers her consent". He just orders her!

She has been living with it for around 20 years and has ventured into depression.

The irony is that she is a devout Muslim and blames her husband for this but not her religion.

So much for Islam's claim of bringing women rights and uplifting their condition.

What do you have to say about this BMZ?
