Because I express whatever feelings I have without someone spouting "Haram!" or "Astagfirullah!" or "Subhanallah" or "Brother, don't you believe in the Quran and Sunnah?!"

This is the only place where people understand.

    There's a Hadith about it:

Narrated Abu Maskharah who said, I heard Ibn Abi ghabaa say, “The Messenger of Allah PBUH forbade us from seeking forgiveness on the forum. Someone said, ‘What if it is Hassan, oh messenger of Allah?’ He replied, ‘That’s cool.’”

    -Agreed upon

There's more intelligent people here than not. A lot of forums, I wonder if the day will come any of the members will blossom from an idiot into an imbecile, hence why I don't bother with them. CEMB, on the other hand...

`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

Why attracted you to the forum ? I'm curious.

We murtads join to find other murtads but what about the forum interests you ?

I'm sure you can find plenty of other forums with intelligent people if you look hard enough.  why this one in particular ?

So what other facts exist in your little fantasy world? And you still haven't answered my question on controversial and unsettled science here: http://www.councilofexmuslims.com/index.php?topic=25715.msg734066#msg734066

TheDarkRebel, if you don't fancy looking through the thread I gave the short answer is this.

My reasons for being active on this site are very simple. I actually said why I joined in my intro. I found out what ex-muslims are going through not just abroad but in my own country and I was moved by all of you. I don't think it's right and as one human being to another I want to be involved. Having to hide your beliefs or lack of beliefs, the threats and intimidation a number of ex-muslims go through is flat out wrong. It has no place in 21st century Britain or anywhere else.

I love this forum because this was my first point of contact with other ex muslims when I felt like I was the only one.

This place lets me talk about my exmuslim problems with people who understand exactly what I am going through.

I can talk about my real views on Islam freely with like minded murtads.

    Most importantly,

this forum helps me cope with the experience of being a closeted ex muslim.

In my opinion a life without curiosity is not a life worth living
