     OP - January 25, 2009, 06:53 PM

"He it is Who has sent down to thee the Book: In it are verses basic or fundamental (of established meaning); they are the foundation of the Book: others are allegorical. But those in whose hearts is perversity follow the part thereof that is allegorical, seeking discord, and searching for its hidden meanings, but no one knows its hidden meanings except Allah. And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: "We believe in the Book; the whole of it is from our Lord:" and none will grasp the Message except men of understanding." (3:7)

I just read this verse and the same question that always used to come to my mind, occurred to me again, but now I can say it out loud lol

Why does God say that the poor sods who follow the "allegorical" verses - have a perversity/disease in their hearts?

If he didn't want ppl to follow them, then why the heck did he reveal them. What are ppl supposed to do with them?

It is a recipe for disaster. The Sufis and philosophers and every esoteric or intellectually elitist group will say it's just for them - not for the ignorant masses.

Seems to me that God intentionally threw a spanner in the works just to make his lovely little game more fun  grin12

It is also interesting to note that the Sufis, philosophers, Shia'a and other sects and esoteric groups read the verse like this:

"...no one knows its hidden meanings except Allah and those who are firmly grounded in knowledge. They say: "We believe in the Book; the whole of it is from our Lord:"

While your bog standard Sunni will read it as:

"...no one knows its hidden meanings except Allah. Those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: "We believe in the Book; the whole of it is from our Lord..."

Subtle but significant difference that allows the first group to have a living link to God (An Ayatollah, Sufi Master, Philosopher intellectual, Divine incarnation of the God head etc...)

Hassan you are a disgrace to the growing ex-muslim community. I am sorry to say that. You seem more knowledgable in Islam than I, then why do you still not have any problem with Islam? Are you happy for muslims to take over your host country, who have been generous enough to let you in from your islamic hell-hole so that they can impose the barbaci shariah laws there? Talk about being ungrateful!!! Loser.

He spent way too long at FFI.  And I doubt he was right in the head to begin with.

Yes, he definitely has a screw loose and he's beginning to spam my videos.

I remember he'd also posted a comment on your channel, refering to this forum as a hate-filled place (or something like that.) He's such an unpleasant character. I'd rather be around a Muslim than an intolerant atheist like him.

I remember all the atheists on FFI saying he gave Atheism a bad name - true! But quite simply he's just not all there!

By the way, I like to be around Muslims anyway (in particular my relatives). I generally don't like people who spew hate, no matter which camp it comes from.

Of course Muslims are nice people generally and I also enjoy being around them. I love going back down to London occasionally and being amongst family and friends - though it is becoming more difficult for me these days.

My family are fine, but there are some who know I criticize Islam on youtube and they don't like it.

The ones who don't know are fine and I don't make a point of telling them lol Wink

HAHAHAHAHA yeah, I'll show the comment he left on my channel.

He originally left this comment on my channel:

     SundriedAtheist

Hello faisal. You have a great channel. Keep up the good work and let us spread the word about paedophile Muhammad9pbuh) and cannibal Abraham.

I am an ex-muslim atheist too. We must never give up or give in until the whole world becomes atheistic and Atheism becomes the only acceptable worldview.

to which I replied him with:

    SundriedAtheist,

Thanks for the comment on my page. Though you and I are both ex-Muslims and Atheists, our goal is not the same. I don't care to eradicate Islam from the whole world and force the whole world into the Atheism mindset. One can be a theist and keep his/her belief personal whilst contributing to secular development. Atheism is my personal belief. I'd be no different than religious fundamentalists if I were to shove Atheism down others' throat. I don't make my videos on youtube on hopes to eradicate religion from the world. I make my videos to give people a different perspective.

    Ciao Smiley

    and he told me:

RationalPeace, we can part our ways. Anyone who supports religion in any manner is not a friend of mine. I have zero respect and zero tolerance for god believing scumbags. If you have no problem with these child abusing monsters, then you are not a good person. You need to reevaluate your moral responsibilty. You fail miserably in assessing the damage religious people inflict upon children, especially their own. Death is too good for these god believing stinking bastards. These god believing monsters need to be neutralised, if for no other reason, then for polluting our gene pool. These braindead intellectually stunted god believers are a disgrace to human intelligence and achievement.

I didn't reply to his reply because I was too busy laughing my ass off at his level of immaturity.

Hassan, thanks for your comments on my video btw. And yeah, that is my real voice   cool2

Says a guy who mistakes "then" for "than" - which, by the way, I encounter very often on the internet.

I seriously can't understand how this hate-monger has the audacity to say that this forum is about hate.  wacko

    Quote from: al-Qur'an, Surah al-Baqarah 2:26
Verily, Allah is not ashamed to set forth a parable even of a mosquito or so much more when it is bigger (or less when it is smaller) than it. And as for those who believe, they know that it is the Truth from their Lord, but as for those who disbelieve, they say: "What did Allah intend by this parable?" By it He misleads many, and many He guides thereby. And He misleads thereby only those who are al-Fasiqoon (the rebellious, disobedient to Allah).

This one always bothered me a bit. Allah misleads them because they can't understand? Then he makes them sinners? Or were they sinners who are barred from understanding? How does one turn away from sin without the light of understanding?  Huh? Where does free will begin and Allah's decree end?

I chose to get circumcised at 17, don't tell me I never believed.
