Anyway, all these weak ass man made religions pale in comparison to the one true religion:

    Lockism

    All hail John Locke!

Hassan - this test will finally define your beliefs, perhaps better than "mostly deist sometimes agnostic with occasional atheistic tendencies"

Also can anyone explain why "Secular Humanism" is worded in this fashion, when by definition humanism is a secular concept e.g. like calling somebody a theistic Muslim?

In response to your earlier message, I think humanism is a broader term that includes ideas such as universal ethics. Perhaps some religions encompass humanism, like Sikhism, reform Judaism, Bahaiism etc.

Secular humanism I assume would be broadly applied to atheists/agnostics with similar views but their views wouldn't be derived from any books/sources, rather from "rationality and reasoning". Secular as a word now has connotations of someone without a religion, even though it can mean people who believe in something but are more "liberal" in practices. I rarely hear it in use these days in such a way, and I have never met a Muslim/Jew/Christian who I could truly call secular (well, except for a few Christians).

That's just my view on the term anyway.

"I am ready to make my confession. I ask for no forgiveness father, for I have not sinned. I have only done what I needed to do to survive. I did not ask for the life that I was given, but it was given nonetheless-and with it, I did my best"
