    Drugs has a silly and hypocritical stigma attached to it. I can understand it for harmful drugs but there are drugs less harmful to the person and others around them than alcohol yet people are still ostracised for it. People automatically thing drugs are all bad. I have no problem as long as people are responsible.


    Also agreed.

    Not sure if the posts are still there, but I remember having a huge post-debate with King Tut about marijuana somewhere...

    Hey, im not against drugs. Everybody has the right to smoke, eat, drink and vomit whatever they like. Its teir own body.

    I just wanted to say that i never felt tempted to take any form of drugs...  grin12

    Don't worry it's legal. Johnny Howard made salvia and kratom illegal but the cops (as much as I despise them) don't really care about personal use. One of my friends - a high school teacher as it happens - is a full-blown heroin addict. Has been for years. He's been arrested twice: once for absconding from police (he was beaten up but not charged). Another time he smashed into a car and they found needles in his car. He has never been charged for a thing. Yet another time he was buying a deal and they arrested the dealer but he sped off. They didn't pursue him. Of course others have been unluckier but to me it illustrates that the cops are only after the big fry.

    Edit: they're after the small fry who also deal. They are, at least, the medium fry.

    Cops aren't that bad :( Bit unfair to judge them all the same no? My boyfriend's been applying for the cops...and one of my lecturers is an ex-cop...both awesome people Smiley

    Agwa liquor..would have to see it in the liquor stores! Are you sure it's legal in every Aussie state? Can't really find anything on it...except that it's not available in every liquor store.

    You're right about cops. My wife's cousin is a cop. I also know another cop. Neither of them are bad people. But the drug squad and organised crime are beneficiaries of the illegality of drugs. It's pathetic that non-alcoholic drugs are illegal.

    As for Agwa I know it's legal in Vic. I think it would be legal Australia-wide. I can't be sure because some states have drug laws peculiar to that state. However Commonwealth law takes precedence and I can't imagine Agwa being legal in Victoria and not WA.

    The non-alcohol drugs being illegal isn't really upto the coppers though, they just enforce it (or let it go in some cases) - I agree it's a huge drain on their resources to go and battle marijuana, when it's clearly less harmful than say alcohol.

    My boyfriend put it quite appropriately - cops are the knife that politicians use to stab the public Tongue

    Either way, some people who join the police force just get off on the power trip...but I think that's everywhere and is more a personality thing than a general cop trait (be it drug squad or not).

    I'll keep my eyes peeled for Agwa. I just saw a really funny picture actually...

    I've tried absinthe and I hated it the first time. But that's cos I took a shot of it without the whole sugar melting thing...then I tried the sugar melting technique another time after I had 3 glasses of wine and I puked the whole night. Never again. Stupid stupid.

    More dangerous strands being sold because they are sourced cheaper.

    The government has a big debate over whether to keep it legal or not

    The government bans it.

    I used to get paranoid delusions when I smoked cannabis so I packed that in many many years ago. I really wouldn't want to try this, as fun as it sounds.

    I've never got paranoid off of cannabis, but I have off of specific strains of it, when that happens I just get a different strain.
