Oh hush, you don't have to keep up the macho act with me. Don't make me give you a right cross to the jaw.  Cheesy

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I remain.

Get a large dog.  Or hire MSingh as a bodyguard.  M would pwn the zombies.

But what if they got him?  M as a zombie would be a big gun job, maybe even a nuke to take him down.  Cheesy

They wouldn't get him.  He's got swords and stuff, he could chop their heads off.  And bullets don't kill zombies anyway.

No, no, no. This is wrong. Decapitating a zombie will incapacitate the body but the head remains alive. The brain must be sufficiently damaged. While this could be done with a sword or axe by sinking it into the skull, a bullet has the same effect with the added advantage of a longer and safer kill distance.

Cheetah, you are woefully unprepared for a zombie attack. Pick up "The Zombie Survival Guide" by Max Brooks, all the Dead movies by Romero, a semi-auto AK with red-dot scope and 1000 rds. of ammo and extra mags, a machete, parang or handaxe, and a reliable, high capacity handgun chambered in 9mm (FN Hi-Power, Beretta 92, Glock, Sig or something like that) w/ extra mags. Also buy a bicycle and dirtbike and water filtration device, and stock up on canned food, bottled water.

    fuck you

Yeah. You want me to sort you out as well? The one I have at the moment is a showpiece but Ive sharpened the arrows up and the quoits as well. And yeah, they are beautiful, pieces of art. Ever weapon fascinates me because how different it is to something else and the balance and the shape and all that and when they decorate the hilt, and the different styles you get. Just holding one fills me with energy, if you know what I mean. It's like having a new arm, but an arm that feels different every time and you can change it. Its like a part of you but it exists in its own right, if ya know what I mean. I have my preferences but Ive never not liked a weapon I came across. Might not be the best to fight with but god they are beautiful.

I won't have a weapon that is just a showpiece. All my swords have edges, all my knives are sharpened.

I know what you mean about them feeling like an extension of your body. They are the replacement for our lack of claws and sharp teeth.  Smiley

That's exactly why Im never ever ever letting my brother go weapon shopping again. He's just gonna waste money like with the kirpan he brought home. Ive made it fightworthy but there are many more stronger blades out there with less curve. It's a showpiece but it's all covered up and in the closet. lol The only problem is smuggling them back. Dudes check our baggage but rarely do they find the stuff.

But the arrows are good. Very strong and good edge.

I'm on the lookout for a good Kukri. I like the modern versions, but the originals are the best.

Correct. So why should some people have them and others not?

Because then some people (not saying everybody) would go around being irresponsible with guns? How do you regulate that?

    Honestly they do that anyway.

It's illegal to have a gun in the UK and yet there is gun crime, people who would use it responsibly are discriminated against whilst the criminals can still get them.

I personally would like to know that if I am attacked I can defend myself, picking up a paper just shows how much there is to defend against.

Personally, I don't have enough faith in human kind to believe that people won't just start personal vendetta's with guns if they become legal. The reason they aren't legal is because the government doesn't want to be held responsible for people's lives. I'm not saying that people who get their guns through other means are right, I'm just saying I don't agree with handing guns over to any old Tom Dick and Mary (in this case Tongue)

Well, I'm pretty big and strong, but I think Biaxident is bigger and likely stronger than me. Plus he's from Detroit. That and I've got a glass jaw (found that out the hard way with a pipe upside the head and it's probably even more prone to fracture now). So in these departments he has an advantage.

My advantages are I'm sneaky, mean and fight dirty, which has saved me in some fights with people who most likely could have kicked my ass easily had I not kicked them in the nuts first. That and my scoped .308 has a longer effective range than his .30-.30 (but I'm not that good of a shot and maybe Biaxident is). Smiley

All the same, I'd prefer not to go toe-to-toe with the dude. Besides the fact I think he could kick my ass, he seems like a nice dude, so even if I could hurt him, I certainly wouldn't want to. That and I haven't been in a fist fight since 2003 nor any physical altercation since 2005 or 6, and I'd just assume keep it that way. I'm a lot calmer (and smarter) of a person now.

    fuck you

LOL! I'm plenty sneaky myself. And I always fight dirty, you don't fight unless you fight dirty, otherwise you get killed. On a lighter note, a rolled up newspaper makes a wonderful weapon.

Don't you threaten me with that .308, I'll borrow my father-in-law's .45-70, or his brothers Barrett .50 cal.  grin12

You're out of practice bud. Since 2003 is a long time to go without a good workout.

You can't regulate everything. You can't keep people safe 100% of the time. The whole issue is whether or not the government gets to limit people's right to defend themselves. I don't care what the murder rate is, I will never agree to that. The fact is there are guns out there. Even if the amount of guns on the black market is reduced, there will always be some criminals who can get a hold of one. And the government still gets to hold on to their guns, and I see little evidence that they are any more responsible with their guns than the average citizen. The only certain result of banning civilian gun ownership is that responsible law-abiding citizens will not have access to guns, and if someone does decide to purchase a firearm for self-defense, exercising their natural rights is now a criminal offense punishable by a long prison sentence-- and in my country at least, we have way too many people in prison as it is (more than anywhere else in the world), so I'm not likely to support laws that will only make more people into criminals.

This may sound cold blooded, but the violent repeat criminals shouldn't be supported in prison by taxpayers money. I think they should be taken to an island somewhere and let them kill each other off.

I get tired of paying for those murderers to have 3 meals a day and a nice warm place to sleep, for life. When I have to worry about paying for a roof, a bed, and food, for myself and my family.

I don't think it's cold-blooded at all. I'm very much in support of prison rehab and re-entry programs and I think we need to do more with that (I really believe many criminals deserve a second chance, sometimes even a third one), but violent repeat offenders are another matter. Many of these people are psychopaths (believed to be about 10% of the prison population), and, by definition, a psychopath cannot be rehabilitated and will re-offend. Although I'm against the death penalty on purely practical grounds, morally I'd have no problem with the state executing violent repeat offenders found to have psychopathic personalities (even if they haven't killed anybody yet). But the devil's in the details and I think it wouldn't be a practical policy.

I avoid the cops. And if they show I act all sweetness and light. No problems.

No worries, I understand that. I avoid hospitals if at all possible, since the last time I was in the E.R. they couldn't figure out why the 2x4 the guy hit me with didn't fracture my skull and jaw. Just a long cut along my neck from the nail sticking out. I figured I was pushing my luck.
