Ever since leaving Islam two years ago I have been having discussions with people I know. I have not always admitted by beliefs but have made them think about theirs. So far I have managed to convince my brother and another Muslims friend to denounce Islam. I am still struggling with the Mrs, but she is more anti now than she has ever been.

This has given me much hope, especially my brother since he is very knowledgeable about Islam. I honestly think this tredn is going to catch on and more and more Muslims will start to question thier faith.

Any views?

Take the Pakman challenge and convince me there is a God and Mo was not a murdering, power hungry sex maniac.

I'm very sure that I can make my siblings and some of my friends leave Islam, but I just need to courage to strike up the conversation.

I agree that a lot of Muslims are beginning to question their faith, and this is only a good thing.

Similar story here, but my family are beginning to think I am too one dimensional and stick to one topic i.e. Islam!
However my sister now thinks Islam is a pile of ..., she is now in Amsterdam recovering in bed for 24hrs after OD'ing on space cakes. My brother just took that test that was posted here, and came out as 100% secular humanist, and my other brother is 50:50 about it.
There are others who I have also spoke too, and they now see me as their anti-Islam confidante, and the rest of the Muslims I know at least have heard the other side of the story for the first time..

In the last 8 months, I have at least five friends - people I was friends with as a Muslim - who have come out of Islam, and two others who are the extreme edges and wouldn't be considered Muslims by most Muslims. Unfortunately, none in my family, but I already had relatives who were atheists, so...

I know plenty of peoplw who I would say are on the "extreme edges". I think these people that I know are only Muslims, and only refer to themselves as Muslims because that is how they identify themselves culturally. They do not do anything characteristic of being a Muslim apart from only eating halal and not drinking (even though some of them do drink!)
