I am having major problems with my PC.
I was trying to run a format on it and because it wasn't booting from CD, I just did an install and used partition magic to try and get rid of the old copy of Windows.
The problem is, I did something and now whenever I try to boot from hard disk, it says 'hard disk error occurred, press ctrl +alt + delete to restart'.
I tried to boot from CD on several occasions but it just won't do it. It says 'boot from cd?' and I type 'Y' and then it says 'Press any key to boot from cd...' and then does nothing.
My computer is pretty new so I can't see why the hard disk would be faulty. It comes with a warranty so I'm wondering if I should take the PC back to the place I got it built and not tell them what I did, so that if they find that the hard disk is faulty, I won't have to dish out for a new one
But that's a last resort.
Anyone got any ideas what I could do to fix it?
