Well if you have the argument that its our forum and we will do whatever we want then Its fine but dont expect people to believe in what you say .  IF anyone addresses me as "hey atheist" I would not have any problem because atheist is not an abuse and its a fact . I can show you plenty of people who would have no problems.Anyway this is my last post regarding this issue.

So you are on a religious forum, and the religious folks keep starting threads with "hey atheist" and you honestly wouldn't see the condescending tone apparant in that?

I also find it annoying that you dismissed my belief, as an ex muslim (you know, someone who has actually walked a mile in those shoes) that this was an offensive way to start a thread, as hatred for FFI?

The reason I won't waste my time explaining the ins and outs (as many others have) about why such a statement would be wrong, as rashna accepted and understood my position immediately, is because the person complaining about it would have agreed already if they actually supported the aims of this forum.

Inhale the good shit, exhale the bullshit.

Quote from: Sahih Muslim, Fada'il as-Sahaba =Virtues of the Companions, Virtues of Uthmaan, #5907
A'isha, the wife of Allaah's Prophet (mav sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam), and Uthman both reported that Abu Bakr sought permission from Allaah's Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) for entrance (in his apartment) as he had been lying on his bed covered with the bed-sheet of A'isha, and he gave permission to Abu Bakr in that very state and he, having his need fulfilled, went back. Then Umar sought permission and it was given to him in that very state and, after having his need fulfilled, he went back. And 'Uthman reported: Then I sought permission from him and he got up and raid to A'isha: Wrap yourself well with your cloth, then I got my need fulfilled and came back. And A'isha said: Allaah's Messenger, why is it that I did not see you feeling any anxiety in case of dressing properly in the presence of Abu Bakr and 'Umar (Allaah be pleased with them) as you showed in case of 'Uthman. Thereupon Allaah's Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) said: Verily Uthman is a person who is very modest and I was afraid that if I permitted him to enter in this very state he would not inform me of his need.

I chose to get circumcised at 17, don't tell me I never believed.

Covered in Aisha's bed sheet? That's just a sheet isn't it? Not clothes. Why does Aisha have her own sheet anyway? I'm confused :\

I have accepted that its rude, but sincerely my intention wasn't being rude or degrading all Muslims. It was as simple as stating-Hey Murtads! We're going to Hell! Beware!.

If I think about it now, it does come across as rude but it was as cheesy & harmless as Hey apostates followed by something  funny about Hell.

In any case, had I wanted to be on FFI, I could well have registered there & been unneccessarily offensive to my heart's content-I don't post there because I don't like the tone.

SB - do you only turn up here so you can tweak the tone of COEM into FFI's?  I am not trying to convince you that one is better than other, but we already have a 2 distinctively different forum cultures for ex-Muslims to choose between, and the reason this forum was started - why homogenise them and reduce the choice for ex-Muslims?

The reason I got into this was because FFI was brought in between. You may believe in what you want .If you wanted to make some accusation against FFI atleast make a valid point which can be proven.

But I want to be a pretty ballerina, and I want a pink tutu :(

We keep hearing about how Jack Straw or the French government have mentioned the veil and our doing so puts us in the same boat as them. How so? I want a ban on the burka, neqab and child veiling.
