Ibn Hisham's works were lost, the accounts we have of Ibn Hisham's work come from Ishaqs compilations.

No, its the other way round. Ibn Ishaq's works were lost and the accounts of Ibn Ishaq's works come from Ibn Hisham.

C'mon guys, we know the drill. You arent going to get a straight answer from muslims because this hadith is "weak." Convenient isnt it?

Considering the hadith regarding Sauda not having a turn is quite strong I think there's good reason to question the validity of this one. It isn't mentioned anywhere else.

But the next hadith contradicts it:

Maybe he mistook Safiya with Sauda who gave up her day to Aisha...

    My thoughts exactly.

Al-Tabari did not edit the works of Ibn Ishaq as much as ibn Hisham  did. And did not add his own interpretations. That's what I?ve heard.

    Volume 7, Book 62, Number 6:

        Narrated Anas:

The Prophet I used to go round (have sexual relations with) all his wives in one night, and he had nine wives.

bloody hell, did he used to acheive 9 orgasms in one night? Or did he employ dildos cucumbers and carots to help him satisfy the ladies?

    ...

He had the libido of 100 men. Had he been alive today the pharmaceutical companies would have extracted Viagra out of him.

It could be a possibility, that night/day have nothing to actually do with sex, but a location. :lightbulb:

Yes, and this is why Muhammed married his blood niece, to strenghten the relation with her dad, his blood brother. Too bad Mo had to abolish the custom of 'blood brothers' in order to justify marrying his blood-niece.

According to the customs of the day, a guy would be an uncle to the kids of his bloodbrother, so he would not be allowed to marry them.

    Who was his blood niece?

Well I was thinking, maybe going round, wasn't like going round 9 different rooms, having sex 9 times, maybe they were all in one room and he was going round the women in one room?  Don't know,  never heard of orgy relating to him...but was wondering if that happened?
