More cultural than religious , but 'The Bandit Queen ' is one of my favourite films ever .
There was also a really good documentary that was on tv recently called 'Afghan Star'
and 'But I'm a Cheerleader' about gay american teenagers being packed off to a christian camp to be cured

Bandirt Queen was awesome, and it is as much about rural Hinduism as it is about culture.

Devious, treacherous, murderous, neanderthal, sub-human of the West. bunny

Has anyone seen the film called The Message? It's about Islam's history. Mohammed, his wives, daughters and sons in laws weren't allowed to be shown so they have other characters repeating everything they say Cheesy I'm not sure how accurate a depiction this film is about Islam's history however. Here's a wiki link- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Message_(1976_film)

A muslim made this film and yet some other muslims didn't want this film to come out so they seized several buildings and took over a 100 hostages Roll Eyes Why are muslims always so afraid with things like this?

The director of that movie 'The Message' was actually killed in a terrorist attack by al qaeda on a hotel in Jordan. He wasn't being targetted specifically, he was just attending a wedding there at the time and was amongst the dozens slaughtered.

    Quote
Moustapha Akkad, and his 34-year-old daughter Rima Akkad Monla, were killed in the 2005 Amman bombings. They were both in the lobby at the Grand Hyatt when a suicide bomber sent by Al-Qaeda detonated his device. His daughter died instantly, and Akkad died of his injuries two days later in a hospital. Akkad is survived by three sons.

Grimly ironic that a man who wanted to promote hagiography of Mohammad, was murdered by those acting in Mohammad's name. Such a sad irony.

(Oh yes, and if you click on that link you will note that he was also the producer of the 'Halloween' slasher flicks, the first of which was a masterpiece of its kind)

One thing I remember about that movie was when Abu Bakar (I think) is talking to Muhammed and says "I know how much you hate the sword"....
I couldnt help but think...He dont hate it that much

No but can't wait to see it. Someone should make one about Khaybar as well. Muslims killing hundreds of Jews and raping their women with Mo getting the priviledge of fucking the prettiest one of them all. Not bad for one who moaned about how evil Jews are yet didn't mind poking their women.

Take the Pakman challenge and convince me there is a God and Mo was not a murdering, power hungry sex maniac.

Hey Berbs!  Have you read the book?

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Stoning-Soraya-M-True-Story/dp/1559702702/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1246888022&sr=8-1

If you don't want to be left feeling like Flaming mad then I suggest you don't read it but if you can't wait for the movie to premiere then go for it!

This is film is going to create such a fuss amongst Muslims - can't wait. There will of course be the predictable 'Islamaphobia' cries and the usual nonsense from so- called Muslim leaders.
