Well not trolling so much as living fantasy lives online. Im just glad I look like George Clooney and bench 600 lbs and thus have no need to resort to such pathetic charlatanism.

    http://www.trutv.com/library/crime/photogallery/caught-in-the-web.html?curPhoto=8

"Thomas Montgomery, 48, (pictured left) posed online as an 18-year-old Marine named "Tommy" who held a black belt in karate, had bullet scars on his left shoulder and right leg, thick red hair, and impressive physical dimensions. He met TalHotBlondbig50 ? a 17-year-old from West Virginia, whose name, he learned, was Jessica on Pogo.com in the spring of 2005. Love seemed to bloom, with Montgomery posing as Tommy and then also as Tommy's dad who could get things to Tommy overseas, and "Jessi" sending elaborate photo-montages of herself.

Then, early in 2006, Montgomery's wife learned of the online affair and contacted "Jessi," exposing her husband's deception. Jessi then asked a friend of Montgomery's whom he had mentioned online: Beefcake1572--in reality Brian Barrett (pictured right), a 22-year-old student at Buffalo State College who worked part-time with Montgomery and played poker with him--if Montgomery's correspondence had indeed been all just a lie. When Barrett confirmed the truth, she started a new online romance with Barrett, taunting Montgomery online in public forums as a child predator, but privately trying to rekindle the relationship with Barrett.

The web of lies became increasingly entangled as "Jessi" ceased her public abuse of Montgomery, but continued to correspond online with both men. Finally, in September 2006, Montgomery learned she was still corresponding with Barrett; he flew into a rage and fatally shot Barrett at work that day.

The police investigation swiftly focused on Montgomery, but the investigation had a further surprise in store: "Jessi", the lithe 18-year-old blonde of Barrett's and Montgomery's fantasies, was actually Mary, a plump 45-year-old married mother of two with short brown hair who had, she claimed, mistakenly used her daughter's profile to sign onto Pogo.com but been unable to reveal the truth when "Tommy" began his initial flirtations. Montgomery was sentenced on November 28, 2008, to 20 years in prison for killing his romantic rival for the affection of a girl as fictitious as his own alter ego."

"By the One in Whose Hand my soul is, were you not to commit sins, Allah would replace you with a people who would commit sins and then seek forgiveness from Allah; and Allah would forgive them." [Saheeh Muslim]

Wow, now that is screwed up.  I honestly don't get people who pretend to be other people online for online relationships.  I enjoy the thrill of the fantasy world of an online connection with someone, but it seems pointless unless you are pepared to take it out of fantasy and into reality eventually.

Well, at least that's how it works for me.

Inhale the good shit, exhale the bullshit.

Lmao Idiots. Complete bloody loony nutters.  Cheesy
Ok, it's a pity someone got killed out of this but this is just awesomely fucked up. You'd exect to see this sort of thing in Monty Python, not in real life.

This is the only forum where I have so far hidden my identity.

Everywhere else I use my real name and age. And I grew out of the the thrill of online chatting by 19, having started at 16, now I just like to chat to people who share my interests, mainly on video game and music forums, and this one here.

No I dont meet people or offer to want to meet anyone online, that stuff can get plain nasty as this thread shows an example of.

But chatting about interests and hobbies is very very enjoyable.

We keep hearing about how Jack Straw or the French government have mentioned the veil and our doing so puts us in the same boat as them. How so? I want a ban on the burka, neqab and child veiling.

Fortunately my online experience so far has been good and those who I have met are exactly who they say they are. I've met quite a few of the members here and they are all cool  Afro

    Ahh, internet. You never fail.

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'
