Islame, veal is just a baby cow. I had veal meatballs with pasta last week; it was very tender and tasted a bit like lamb.

    500g/1lb 2oz pork fillet

    Sauce/marinade

    4 tbsp soy sauce
    1 tbsp clear honey
finely grated zest and juice of 1 orange
large knob of root ginger finely grated

Tip marinade ingredients into a shallow dish and combine. Coat pork in it and leave for an hr+ to marinade, turning over occasionally. Heat oven to 200*c / 180*c fan oven / gas 6

Seal the pork by frying it at first, drizzle over the marinade and put it into the oven for 20 mins, pouring the marinade over it every 5 mins.

Take it out of the oven, cut the pork and reduce the marinade on the hob until sticky and really dark brown.

Serve with rice and any veg/salad you like.

(USE A SAUCEPAN FOR ALL THIS OR A CASSEROLE PAN)

Ferrero, you are inspiring to start cooking again. I mean, ya know, cooking creatively again. I've become such a lazy fuck, cooking only easy to-make shit, ready-to eat stuff, to-go, restaurants, delivery, etc.

    fuck you

    That looks tasty!

We went out to a restuarant yesterday for father's day. Food was scrumptious!

    Firstly, the drink(s):

I started off with a cocktail named Sea Breeze (Cranberry Schnapps, Vodka, cranberry juice, grapefruit juice):

I also had some cider but forgot to take a picture of it wacko James had some Bayeux ‘champagne’ cider. It was nice a fruity.

James' starter: Chilled gazpacho, focaccia & wild garlic toast:

James' main: Polenta cake, barley couscous, wild garlic & tomato stew, aubergine fritters.

James' dessert:Sticky toffee pudding, toffee sauce, clotted cream

My starter:Crispy fried salt & pepper squid, oriental salad, chilli jam

My main: Local old spot pork belly, cider potato, glazed cabbage, apple compote.

My dessert:Vanilla panacotta, rhubarb, strawberry & mint

The father's starter: Rabbit terrine, pear & walnut salad, toasted sour dough.

The father's main: Sticky glazed honey and cinnamon duck breast, glazed spring vegetables, crispy potato

The father's dessert was the same as James'.

We also had a portion of chips to share:

Talking about panacotta (looks like you chose the best things) have you ever tried to make it?

IA- No, it isn't. It has a place in the Good Food Guide though. It isn't the cheapest place to go; it cost us in excess of £100 but it makes a nice change from the usual.
