Music at the end of My Videos?

Music at the end of My Videos?
OP - July 27, 2009, 10:20 PM

My last two videos (Prayer and To Speak or be Silent) had music at the end.

Jack said he will come round and break my computer if I do it again.

I just want to know if others like it - or not.

Get Jack to choose the music for the next vid. That'll keep him from breaking things.

He only said he didn't like scratchy and maudlin tracks. If you find a clean recording of Was Not Was doing "I feel better than James Brown" I'm sure he'll be fine.

Honestly, it's not so much that I dislike it, but I watch the videos for what you say, not the pictures or music, so when you stop talking and the music comes in I normally stop the video at that point. Then again, you are talking with the MTV/Headline News generation here-- I get the info I need quickly then move on to the next thing, especially when it comes to reading stuff or watching informative (as opposed to entertainment) videos on the internet.

I can't speak for others but I think it's cool. Maybe it's because I'm used to videos with music at the end (it's trendy on some yt videos) but I especially liked the song on the prayer video and "when I'm gone", and I think you have a pretty good taste in music so.....

As Qman said, if someone doesn't like it they would probably stop the video at that point. I can't see the harm at least.

One thing you have to be careful about is using copyrighted music. There's a chance using parts from a copyrighted song will have your video removed or the audio track erased.

Its worked so far, but wouldnt over do it. You dont want a reputation as the master of cheese over substance.

Yep, a good point. Remember the majority of viewers wont have the same music taste as you, so the music will go over their heads, and what you thought was inspired becomes a slow photo slidehow instead.

My sentiments exactly. I favoured the videos in which you talked to the cam, esp. 'My Story'.

Sorry Hass, I just find it cheesy. And as someone else pointed out, others might not like the music at all. Sad songs to sad images make me want to puke, I'll never forgive The Cars and that song of theirs for Live Aid.
