    No, not for the first 2 hours anyway  Cheesy  after that it felt a bit more tender when she was doing it, but the worst pain didn't really kick in until I had to wash it 4 hours later and add the cream.  That was painful.

    I was like you though, I couldn't make up my mind where I wanted it, but decided on the wrist in the end, but with a band instead of the daintier stuff women get on their wrists.

    Oh yeah, I'm not into full coverings, the biggest I'm getting is on my back, and a medium one on my arm to cover the old one, and two smaller ones on my leg/ankle.

    I have to rub this lotion in "tattoo goo" every 3-4 hours, and yesterday that felt like exposing a wound to salt or an eye ball to chilli pepper, today is ok though, a bit sore and tight feeling but if I had the cash on me now I'd be ready to start on my next tattoo today.  Cheesy

    Thats the thing, people say i wouldnt get more than 2 done...then once you get used to the ones you have i think 'mmmm theres loads of space left, i want another! haha!
    it can get kind of addictive.
    ive never used any tattoo goo, i just used E45 cream a few times a day, seemed to work ok but might try the goo next time.

    I can't remember what I used on mine. Wasn't any special goo though and it didn't seem to hurt that I can remember. Maybe that's why it didn't hurt. I forgot to put stuff on it. Cheesy

    Yeah, my first one I got when I was 18 and they didn't tell me to put anything on it, so it was only painful whilst they were doing it, after that I don't remember it hurting at all.  Maybe it is the goo.

    angel - I have a black panther on my shoulder but I'm having that changed since it's faded a bit and I don't like it as much anymore.

    I think I just used a bit of oil that was high in Vitamin E. One of the cold-pressed vegetable oils or something. Not sure.

    he got a little tribal tattoo on his shoulder, he didnt have any cream apart from...Preperation H cream...when he woke up the next day his shoulder had stuck to the bed sheet and when he pulled it off half the tattoo went with it! its all faded now lol!

    Incase some might wonder what preperation H cream is...just think hemorrhoids...lol

    Haha screwed up and ouch.

    I'm tempted to use cocoa butter, that's what I use when I shave, even if I've cut myself and it never stings.

    SHop your ideas around with several tattoo artists as well as each one will have their own take on your ideas.  ALso, tattooing is a very word of mouth industry so ask any of your tattooed buddies who they would recommend.

    I try to use a clear cream like A+D or Neosporin on my 'toos whilst they are healing and I will slather it on real good at night and wrap it in cellophane in order to avoid any sticky situations such as Glen's dad had!  Cheesy

    I am DYING to get my half-sleeve, have been working on designs for it and spoken to 2 or 3 artists about it but lack of funds has put it on hold for the time being... Boo!  Cry

    He's got some of it coloured in now. Had to stop due to short funds but he has a job now so he's be getting it finished soon. (It's a Manowar tattoo for those who don't know)
