I have been thinking lately about what would have happened to the Islamic faith if Othman the 3rd Caliph did not assemble the Quran some 15 or 20 years later after the death of Mohammed?
There is nothing in the Quran or in the Hadeath that says it is the duty of the caliph to assemble the Quranic verses together to prevent them from being lost, was there?
Maybe Hassan can make a short video demonstrating a different scenarios about what would have happened if Othman did not do what he did to save the Quran! I think that might start some people to think about the verse that says: Allah is preserving the Quran. In fact Othman is the one who saved it!
And please don't tell me that Muslims would say: it is Allah who inspired Othman to do what he did. If Allah can send some Shoohub (meteorite) from the sky, then surely he can send a scruffy old book!
