Hi,

I'm new to this forum. I'm no longer a muslim, I gave it up a while ago but now i gave it up totally, anyway im now 100% atheist, the strange bit is i left im the only Ex-muslim in the world, untill i found you guys and im glad i did.

Infos about me: age 16 / country Bangladesh / name same as my username

i wont be active a lot but ill browse often

Welcome Abid. You are definitely not alone, not online and not even in Bangladesh I'm sure. People are just scared of declaring that they don't believe in Islam, because well, Islam is a very intolerant belief system. Glad you found us.

What is it with people from Bangladesh - they all seem to be coming out as ex-muslims lately? Let us know how you came across this site, there must be some really bad muslims over there!

Human, for myself when I first started stumbling acorss these things I was just total innocence "Oh my god, look what I found, can you believe this" and I meant it.

I had to push these questions on everyone in my life, my parents, siblings, even my ex because at that time we still had strained contact.

I didn;t question how I should go about presenting it to them, I simply did it, if they asked me how I found it I always said I was looking up some hadiths for learning, or reading the quran online, or looking for stuff to strengthen my faith and stumbled across this.

It is true that they eventually asked me to stop showing them because it was messing with their faith too, but I was quite angry, I needed to share, so my advice just share, just be shocked, just show them, bring it up.

What can they say? it's not like you are doing anything wrong, you are simply trying to stay faithful and need help.

I know it sounds a bit childish, but I really don?t want to be thrown questions at because I am not too confident to argue back and defend myself yet.

Thats why i wanted to make him see it but not intentionally. That may make him stop and think.

But anyway I will talk to him in about two weeks time. for now im just lying to him...which i hate.

Why not just show something to him, say you found it while surfing, it shocked you, ask what he thinks?

Oh no, you don't need to have the answers, you just need to hear their answers.

Remember, you are apporaching this as if you are very confused by what you have just read. You need someone to help you understand, so you don't need to have knowledge to argue back at them, that will come in time.

I think it might be best if you waited a little while after Ramadan is over, then his religiosity may calm down a bit?
