  • Predict the future

    Hi All,

Just out of curiosity, what do you all think will happen in the future in Islam in terms of the religion and the populations at large considering that:

    - nations are trying to weed out subtle Islamic memes, e.g. the veil/burka
    - oil revenue will run out at some point in the Arab region
    - fundamentalism halting modern progression
    - Muslim population growth & immigration
    - the Internet/information freedom & communication allowing youngsters (mainly) to reject the faith

Would be interesting to read your thoughts/links. Thanks!

I really don't care what happens in the  future to be honest. Islam won't be around 4-5 thousand year from now--and I'll be long dead by then....

    So yeah.

Call me TAP TAP! for I am THE ASS PATTER!

yeah and that way after im dead. islam won't last long because

come on , people are getting clever and the younger generation will question

why oh why, why this and why that.

Hmm interesting. Thanks for the opinions.

One thing I fear will happen is that Islamic nations will continue to grow (currently estimated at about 1.5 Billion people) and the West (& Far East) will continue to develop away in science & technology.

Once oil runs out 40 years from now, the Arab world with many illiterate people will become poor. The only hope I see if for them is to follow the lead of countries like UAE or Egypt in trying to diversify the economy away from just natural resources.
