    Dr Kamel Al-Najjar is an Ex-Muslim apostate who has gone public long ago. Dr Al-Najjar who is a Surgeon who currently works and lives in the UK has two main books that exposes the Quran and the real life of Mohammad. He was working in one of the Saudi Hospitals several years ago, and he was pissed off by an incident that he witnessed. I think it was some European guy who was smoking in the middle of the day during Ramadan. The poor guy was in shock when the religious fanatics started hitting him with sticks for violating the "Eating in Public is Not Allowed" rules as he had just arrived to work in KSA. He also witnessed these terrorist mobs hitting people who are near a mosque and not rush to prayers in the market and that made him start questioning: what kind of a god or a religion that forces it self on people? He moved to the UK and started working as a Surgeon in one of the well known Hospitals (although he does not say which exactly for obvious reasons) and started writing about Islam in his spare time.

    Anyways, I thought of writing about him here in the resources section.

    I wish more ex Muslims would speak as clearly & point out flaws in Islamic theology as he does-instead of the tu quoque fallacies.

    I think this part of the article is spot on:

    Actually in my last Friday prayers that attended long time ago, I heard the Imam of the mosque says something similar to the above quote. That made me decide that I don't need to hear this crap anymore.

    Exactly. Also I've seen plenty of ex-Muslims speak clearly and point out flaws with Islamic theology. Hassan is a prime example with his videos. I'm not sure what Rashna is getting at because as I have already told her fundamental criticisms of theism end up hitting all theism, not just Islam. So unless you want people to avoid fundamental criticisms of theism when discussing Islam (and I can't see why that would be necessary or desirable) then there are no grounds for calling tu quoque if the Christians or whoever else are made to feel uncomfortable.

    This is very subjective. Also, loads of ex Muslims seem to devote far more time to criticizing all faiths than pointing out what is wrong in Islam.

    I don't even see ex Christians from the nicer Christian nations devoting so much time to Islam.

    That's just rubbish, Rashna. I keep telling you: logical arguments against the fundamentals of theism hit all theism. They can't avoid it. Since those arguments are some of the best for convincing people that Islam is fallible then there is no reason not to use them.

    And it is simply not true to say that ex-Muslims spend more time attacking other religions than they do attacking Islam. Look at this site. It is full of topics written by ex-Muslims that rip Islam to shreds. There is more material here attacking Islam than there is attacking all the other religions put together.

    Rashna, think of a scenario where there are 3 rapists roaming your neighborhood. Now imagine that rapist "A" is only targeting boys, and rapist "B" only targets little girls, while rapist "C" have no preference and prays on all, little boys, little girls, and occasionally old ladies too.

    Now, don't you think it is unwise to criticize rapist "C" only? It is silly to say that we should just put rapist C in prison, because the other rapists are not as bad, right? Huh?

    He is a very nice man indeed, and humble too.

    I enjoyed reading his book "A systematic study of Islam". It is in Arabic. I wish he have translated it into English.

    I emailed him and took his permission to post about him here and he did not mind.

    I've been working on setting up a wiki system on this server. I've set up 4 wikis now: English, German, Turkish and Arabic. It might still need some tweaking, but I think it can go public now.

    Perhaps you and others would like to start filling the Arabic wiki with books and other material, and together with other guys here you could translate them into English.

    I've already started translating Hassan's book into German. Other German-speaking folks here might wanna help with this project. Doesn't have to be full dedication; just one paragraph at a time whenever you have spare time would be enough.
