Zakir Naik - Rock Star?

Does Zakir Naik's character remind anyone else of that of a rock star?

Zakir crap Naik knows that he is lying about Islam but if he admits he will loose the millions of dollars coming from Saudi and from many other places as well...

He is a great actor as i can say...

If he is allowed to act in Hollywood,,,

He will put some conditions......

The heroine should change to Islam

The Director,producer and everyone who is working on that film should change to Islam

The movie name is Islam or Zakir naik's Islam

I jsut think the way he acts on stage, all his groupies who absolutely love him etc. Reminds me of a rock star and he loves it.

Unfortunately he's managed to influence many Muslims the wrong way.Adil adores him. Could Hassan defeat him in a public debate, do you think?

I badly want to see him defeated.

I cant think him as a rock star.For me,he is an actor.Sure he loves the way he speaks on stages...I cant understand how stupids are the audience in stages opening their mouth and trusting this Man.

I have a feeling Sina isn't what he claims, or maybe its really security concerns. Even Ibn Warraq refused to show his face for a long time.

Besides, Naik has rock star like skills, as you said plus he's memorized the Quran, hadiths & other religious books, he'll be able to recite them like rhymes, to defeat him, someone would also need to have stuff as well memorized. Maybe Sina can't recollect hadiths & Quran that well.

Yeah, that's a good point, because that is what Zakir Naik's fans love about him; the fact that he has memorised the Qur'an, the Bible, the Bhagavad Gita etc. But if you look at his arguments, either he is deliberately misleading people or he has poor analytical skills.

I think an online debate where each person has time to research their points would work well. Zakir lies so much that you need to be well versed in sciences history as well as the debunking of the scientific miracles in order to pick up on these. CEMB could easily beat him! Would be great if we could have an online debate through email or this forum.

I remember once he said that the Christian West discovered the world was round when Francis Drake sailed around the world in 1597. Francis Drake died in 1596.

My mum awes him like a rock star, my dad somewhat too, then other relatives do too.

"OOh that Zakir he knows the Quran and Bible off by heart and can win any argument ... a any argument!! Why don't you sit and watch him if you are so open minded?"

The thing is, there isn't much logically proving Islam is right, so when a guy like him comes along being articulate and having good memory, Muslims just fall off their chair since he affirms their faith. People want to know "they are the right ones" and that all their effort praying to Allah isn't to waste.

I'd pay to see someone like Christopher Hitchens, Richard Dawkins, and Sam Harris take on and literally obliterate Zakir Naik in front of a live neutral audience. That would be just so beautiful

I don't think you need someone who has memorised these scriptures to defeat him. You just need someone who know his/her stuff, knows how to easily look it up and reveal the misleading claims of Naik in front his face an his audience.

My wife was looking at Peace Channel last week and he was on saying that 80% of all the science in the Qur'an has been proven correct. The remaining 20% has not yet been discovered by modern science so he will put is trust that the 20% unknown stuff like Jinns, Hell, Heaven is true.

It was so funny but the sad thing was the huge audience lapping it up cheering.

Knowing Islam is the only true religion we do not allow propagation of any other religion. How can we allow building of churches and temples when their religion is wrong? Thus we will not allow such wrong things in our countries. - Zakir Naik

He reminds me of those really popular Arab televangelists-like that Omar dickhead (you know the Egyptian one, probably seen him on TV sometime).

They are all so egotistical.
