     OP - September 27, 2009, 02:16 AM

Hey, postseason is coming up, so I just figured I'd check to see if there were any baseball fans in this predominately limey forum. If so, please check in, and we'll make this the official postseason baseball thread.

Oh, and I had a general question for any of you Yankees fans (and it's not just why do you suck so much)-- is Jeter the longest-tenured Yankee? If not him, who? Just wondering about this.

    fuck you

Baseball - just a hyped up rounders (which is a school girls game!).

Cricket on the other hand, that is a proper sport!

    Cricket!  Snooooore!

At least in baseball the batters REALLY hit the ball, they don't just bunt it like cricketers do.

Unfortunately since I've been living in Limey I have lost touch with what's going on in baseball... and basketball.  Frankly professional sports disgust me because it's no longer about the sport itself but the players' egos, contracts, overstuffed owners buying an selling teams like they're some kind of collectible item.   Blah!

My favourite sport to watch is Patrick Swayze kicking serious ass in 'Road House'  Cheesy.

Yankees and Red Sox both clinched, if the Phillies win tonight's game, they're in too. Please feel free to share your support for the Red Sox and/or Phillies, and your disdain for the Yankees. Mods, I will need you ready to delete all pro-Yankees comments. Thanks.

    fuck you

     Cheesy

Are you sure you don't want us to change the forum rules to state that being a Yankees fan is punished with a smite?

Oh could you? That would be great. I mean, I like Manat and all, she's one of my favorite forum members, but rules are rules.

The Yankees rule.  They represent the greatest city in the world and also they are the 26 time World Series champions which puts the money where the mouth is.

Phillies suck.  They represent Killadelphia.  Also, they suck.  Nice mascot.  Was he a Sesame Street reject?

Also, Red Sox suck most of all. Even more than the METS.  And their fans are a bunch of chuckleheads.  The Sox and their nation of fantards all wish they could be the Yankees, and that is very obvious to the casual observer of their pathological obsession with the Yankees and their AWESOMENESS.

    Yankees!  Yankees!  Yankees!  Yankees!   bunny

Mods! MOOOODS!!!! Do you see this shit? ^^^^^^^^^^

Drop the ban hammer, and drop it now, for this willful display of defiance of this forum's new anti-New York Yankees rules. I'd take this as a personal insult if I were you Cheetah.

7-3 Phils at the top of the 6th. Just need to hold onto the lead for 4 more full innings and they're in.

    fuck you

Cheetah knows what time it is.  And probably also doesn't care about the Boston Red Sux.

    Phils clinched w/ 10-3 win.

Ya know, Manat, my only regret is when the Sox kick the Yankees' asses in the ALCS this year, it won't result in the breaking of a historical barrier like it did in 2004.

    fuck you
