    Lisa Bauer is an American woman who converted to Islam.  She posts quite a lot on the Dawkins forum under another name, I guess the name that she used as a Muslim.  The first link is Richard Dawkins' introduction to her story.  The second is Part I of her story as a Muslim.  Part II will be in the next issue.

    Wow!  At first I could totally relate to Lisa's reasons for converting as my experience was very similar and I was around the same age as she was when I took the shahada, but then....WOW!

    Really good stuff, thanks for posting.

    I mean, really -- it is an important account of the mangling of a free mind and spirit by Islam. Deeply compelling stuff.
