Even a brand-new E3 can get their own internet connection in Iraq? Damn. It's a Brave New World.

Not though the military, from a local provider like tigrisnet, you just have to pay for it. I think it was like $50 a month for WiFi, but they might only have that in the cities.
Like I said, to be honest, there is not much warring and stuff going on,  a lot different from 2005.  You can buy a cell phone, get internet, everyone brings dinars out on patrol with them so they can get local food and pirate DVDs...stuff like that.

One major from my old battalion married a Kurdish chick he met there....And now he friggen lives in Kurdistan. Hard to believe, but he bought a house there and works for the mayor or something now.

Did he convert to Islam by any chance?

    BTW, you will have internet.
Either free from the MWR, or you can pay a local Iraqi internet provider and get it installed..which is better, because then you dont need to wait in line and can use your own computer.

    Sweet!

Call me TAP TAP! for I am THE ASS PATTER!

LOL, ok...Just to clear that one up.
My job required me to be in contact with local community leaders 24/7, so I had a Iraqnya cell phone. I guess somehow my number got around to some woman (I think though a high school I did some stuff with), and she used to call me at 3am and make sexy talk in arabic/broken english..... I have no idea who she actually is, but it was hella funny.

    It was probably Myriam Faris.

"Ask the slave girl; she will tell you the truth.' So the Apostle called Burayra to ask her. Ali got up and gave her a violent beating first, saying, 'Tell the Apostle the truth.'"

    What is your MOS, btw?

Probably got one of those "dont bother me" certificates...dont really know. From what I heard, I didnt know him well or anything, he was more kind of an adventure nut who likes being rich, having a hot wife, and being able to get drunk and shoot ak47s into the air whenever he wanted....which is frowned upon in New Jersey (well, not all of New Jersey)
