Peruvian you need to give it time. I used to be very shy and reserved and slowly but surely I'm opening up more and more. Not just on the internet I mean  Cheesy
  • Re: Your personality type - what is it?
     Reply #181 - December 28, 2009, 11:43 PM

I guess somewhere in the middle might be better Tongue But when I say I don't want to be so reserved I mean I want to be more talkative. Not talkative as in giving away uncomfortable info, I just mean in a friendly way so I can get along with people better. I have so much difficulty forming close friendships that last. My bf can easily get his friends to come over for a drink or two, or go over to theirs for a few drinks. I've never been able to do this and it makes me feel so inept.

What makes it really bad is that my bf is basically everything I want to be. I envy him so much which only increases my insecurities. This is why I push everything too far, I crave the attention it gives me even though I just end up making everyone think I'm a total weirdo, I guess it's no wonder I lack friends.

god this convo is making me hate myself even more...

Another INTJ here, but I've taken the test before so I already knew it. I'm a sucker for psychological tests like these. I will say I prefer the five-factor model (FFM) over MBTI as I feel it's a lot less ambiguous. You can take the test here:

    http://similarminds.com/bigfive.html

I scored RCOEI; gotta say it fits me like a glove.

The Big Five is currently the most accepted personality model in the scientific community. The Big Five emerged from the work of multiple independent scientists/researchers starting in the 1950s who using different techniques obtained similar results. Those results were that there are five distinct personality traits/dimensions. Here are your results on each dimension:

Extroversion results were medium which suggests you average somewhere in between being assertive and social and being withdrawn and solitary.

Orderliness results were moderately low which suggests you are, at times, overly flexible, random, scattered, and fun seeking at the expense of structure, reliability, work ethic, and long term accomplishment.

Emotional Stability results were low which suggests you are very worrying, insecure, emotional, and anxious.

Accommodation results were high which suggests you are overly kind natured, trusting, and helpful at the expense too often of your own individual development (martyr complex).

Inquisitiveness results were moderately high which suggests you are intellectual, curious, imaginative but possibly not very practical.
