     OP - November 14, 2009, 11:24 AM

So, I went for my 12 week scan yesterday and the foetus appears to have stopped growing at 6 weeks but my body hasn't caught on yet and still thinks I'm carrying a viable pregnancy.  If there's no change by next week then I will probably have to have an induced miscarriage.  Cry

Although it was purely a freak accident I was actually looking forward to carrying this pregnancy to full term and giving life to a little person, even though I was planning to give it up for adoption for several personal reasons.

My mom was sad when I told her but I think my father was relieved, so was the father-to-be although neither would admit it.

When I told my partner in crime who is a Hindu, he mentioned that according to his astrological charts which he firmly believes in he was not supposed to be a father at this point in his life anyway but that's still no comfort to me.

    Thanks guys.

I'm still in shock a bit and afraid to go into town for fear of seeing all the families with babies which will probably start me off sobbing and blubbering.

    Life is such shit sometimes.

I know how bad it is to have a miscarriage, cuz my mom had 2 in her life. However don't get too depressed over it, you still have a full life ahead of you, and I hope one day you get the chance to be a mom  Wink

So sorry about this Nour.... take care of yourself. There's no rhyme or reason for these things... you just have to get through it to the other side of the pain.

Nour, It's so sad to hear of your loss. Hope all goes well over the next week and stay strong.
