Absolutely, another reason why most converts leave so early is because they weren't brainwashed from birth, they had around 15-25 years of being a kaafir lol, so Islam was not rooted in them since the beginning of their lives. Thats my opinion Smiley

By the way Kaiwai, I really want to see you do video rebuttals to Sami Zaatari and Ozzycda one day, since you have good knowledge on Islam Smiley I remember you called Ozzy an idiot LOL.

The problem with ozzy is that he selectively chooses modernist writings that bear no resemblance to the Islam as practiced by the large number of Muslims out there. He quotes out of Muhammad Asad even though the number of Muslims who practice Islam according this exegesis could fit in a telephone booth with enough room left for a BBQ and a disco ball.

What exactly is the Muhammad Asad translation? Is it a soft and apologetic version? Or some modernist one or something? I'm not too sure, but you are right about his selective writings. www.answering-christianity.com is one of the WORST websites I ever went on. It pretty much tries to prove Islam and to trash Christianity and www.answering-islam.com is the opposite, it is bashing Islam and trying to prove Christianity. Its a pathetic slugfest and they both look fucking stupid!

Absolutely agreed and its really annoying when Muslims say that the Qur'an/Islam does not have a single flaw! Atleast most Christians today admit that the Bible has contradictions and mistakes regarding science, history etc. Then again, MOST Christians take the Bible as allegorical.

His view of Shariah in the essay "this is our law" which is available in book form.

As for the translation; he fully contextualises it, lines up interpretation with the Tanakh, renounces abrogation as a foreign concept, fully contextualises the violent verses as being events that should remain in the past and any future violence should only be done in the name of defending (peace if the preffered state of affairs) and belief in freedom of religion because with the renouncement of abrogation means that 2:256 is in no way abrogated in any form.

Bug-eyes FTW! The Muslims would've been pissed off about that though.

It was meant to be a serious video... But I was just itching to do something silly.

Look, if I was not worried about being assassinated, then I would have also proadly boasted i in full glare (in any case, none of these girls are proadly boasting it, in fact if you watch the videos carefully they struggle to even utter anything about being an ex-muslim.)

Yeah... Well you would too if you were getting death threats left and right.  Tongue

I suggest people read through the comments, I thought this one was really telling as to the pysche of Muslims:

    Quote
Muslims live to serve others and Allah swt,

U dont hav those qualities, u talked bout your own happiness, your own life, you you you your feelings etc

U r a typical western person in pursuit of selfish gains

Really summarises in a nutshell what Muslims opinion of those who leave the fold. Thank god for the internet, where people don't have to put up a facade and tell the world how they really feel.

OK, back to the main topic. I was kinda shocked when I saw her saying she left Islam. I remember watching her videos when she was Muslim and all the Muslims adored her and payed her so much respect. Now its going to change, and now they are going to call her names and insult her. I honestly believe that statistic about over 75% of converts leaving Islam is true. I asked a Muslim if he knew a revert, he said yes but he gave up shortly afterwards. I guess you can say its a fad of some sorts. But I will tell you what will be a shocker. If OZZYCDA left Islam, now THAT would be big lol. Many Muslims rely on him when it comes to rebuttals against the "haters".

Yes, I have been called all the names in the book now. According to many Muslims, I am now a cock sucking whore who thinks about drinking and sex all the time. Rather charming indeed, if I do say so myself. Great dawah they're doing, spewing insults and bullshit about the kufar and death penalty for apostasy all over my Youtube page.

I guess it's rather hypocritical of them. I'm still myself, minus religion. They've even been writing eulogies for me... "She will be missed", "she was such a great girl with a bubbly, happy personality". Like hello, I'm still alive! *jumps up and down*

Well the name calling and slander has already started. She is being pretty much tsunami'd  by hateful Muslims both on her video and her channel.

I've sent her a long PM, telling her about this community and to let her know shes not alone. I think she already knew about me since I've known her since the old days, but we haven't spoken in about two years.

Anyways, let's all hope she accepts.

I'm really crossing both my fingers and hoping from the bottom of my heart she doesn't get adopted by FFI and become like one of their drones. Some of their FFI salesmen have already found her channel. Which is why I've send her a PM, hoping to speak to her directly.

Not sure who the FFI are. But I read your message, and I've added you on MSN if you want to chat. Would love to hear more about your story.

It's true. Pauline Hanson is no where near as vindictive and hateful as the goons on FFI.

As for Kimdonesia (great name), you just realised that Islam was a bunch of crock. All religions are, and Islam is no different. Sex with someone you own (if you're a man) = halal, paying a prostitute for sex = haram. The man is just one degree higher than the woman owing to his superior physical strength according to the exegetes. Sure, women are the ones who give birth to children but that's nothing. Just like going for a slash at the urinal really. The man is simply more responsible. That's why there are so many single mothers raising children all by themselves. Pure irresponsibility.

Notwithstanding the stonings, amputation, kiddie fucking etc. Islam's actually quite fun and its esoterica is fascinating. That's why I can't divorce myself from it. Sure I can get bitter and nasty but it's more therapeutic to destroy its patriarchal edifice from within than to jump ship and join the likes of Andrew Bolt. Fuck Andrew Bolt.

    Love,

Over here we think Osmanthus is God's gift to Australia. Osmanthus however denies God exists.

Muhammad Asad was a traditionalist -  not the sufi type like Nuh Keller but the perennialist type.  His interpretation of the Quran is too modernist for most people - and too expensive as well. The last time an edition came out and I looked at purchasing it, it was US$45.

Answering Islam is bald faced about who and what they are, but the have some really good articles on there.  Answering Christianity - that dude was like 16 when he did that page and apparently hasn't matured much since then.

Isn't there a similar site called islamawarenes.org or islamicawareness.org? Something along those lines anyway. The site attempts to refute the claims made by orientalists. The site is supposed to be a golden oldie for the muslims.
