    No problemo.

Can't eat with left hand because Shaytaan eats with left hand.
Can't wear pants below ankles because everything below the ankles is in the fire.
Allah loves sneezing but hates yawning.
Must shaks your dick an odd number of times after taking a piss.
According to Muhammad, the believers have 7 intestines, but the kuffar have one.
When the Adhan is being called, satan goes in the air and starts farting so he can't hear it.
One who plucks eyebrows is cursed by Allah.
Must cover your utensils with a cloth or else the Jinn will steal them.
When one gets a fever, it is the heat from the hellfire, so drink cold water to make it better.
Whoever eats with silverware is filling their bellies with hellfire.
Wigs are forbidden because Muhammad cursed women who do so.
One wing os a fly has a cure, the other a disease.
When one wakes up for Fajr prayer, flush your nose because Satan was sleeping in it overnight (don't know why he would even do that?)
Yawning is not good because if you yawn too much satan will start laughing at the person who is yawning.
When we sleep, Satan ties three knots to the back of our heads. Say Subhanallah, do wudu, and pray, and they untie.
If one misses Fajr, Satan urinates in his ears.
Also, say your duas when fucking your wife, so you can have a good child Wink
Cannot wipe ass with right hand, but left hand.
If a man and woman (non mahram) are alone in the same room satan is the third party.
Satan has a throne over water, and his little minion shayateen go to him when they persuaded one to do an act of evil.
If people simply do some paintings which show a human or animal, they will be punished on the day of judgment and hellfire.

    And finally my favourite

"Narrated by Abi Hurairah that the prophet PBUH said: If one of you got engaged in intercourse, they shouldn't look at the genital for that inherits blindness, and not talk too much for that inherits aphonia (type of disease)."

I swear if another Muslim male comes up to me and tells me that Islam is free of superstition I will honestly slap them upside their head. Fucking ridiculous how they can't see this. There is more, but that will do for now.

The worst part is that I have read most of these, but people ignore them. But they are there!! Words spoken, actions followed, by Mohammed. The man was obviously very superstitious, and had OCD. Sure he was a pious man, who spent a lot of time praying, but what good does that do? When Allah was only the god of the Hijaz. You try to tell the Japanese, the Aboriginals and the Native Americans about Allah, I think they will pretty much laugh at you.

True, very true. But the thing is, what CHEESES me off the most is when Muslims make fun of superstitions that Europeans use. For example, in my culture, people sprinkle a little bit of salt on the floor for good fortune, Muslims will say look at these kuffar with their superstitions. yet they do the EXACT SAME THING!! Thats what pisses me off!! finmad

Honestly, 90% of Muslims who would claim Islam as such probably are unaware of those ridiculous statements by Mo. They would be as surprised and weirded out as any of us I think.

Agreed; and at least with the salt sprinkling the worst one can expect is some crunchiness under the feet - no one becomes the target of ridicule.

Here is the pathetic part, tell the above quotations to the Muslims I hang around with and you either get:

    1) "Allah knows best"

    or

    2) "oh, that is fabricated/weak/no longer valid/taken out of context! you can't take every hadith seriously" (then why the fuck, my I ask are they considered all sahih, and to follow Muhammad to the most minute detail equals following Allah?)

    lol

I use to do that Smiley

I differentiated between superstition, which I thought was against belief in pre ordainment, and things Islam told us were good to do, as they were part of the real world.

Entering a house with your right foot would be rewarded by Allah, as per revelation, and so was completely different from reading omens in a passing cat (for which we have no evidence from Allah that it means anything).

     Huh?

I think I became an Atheist about a year and a bit ago.  Stopped going to the mosque on the 10th of June this year when I made my first video and emailed to all the Muslims whose email I knew.

Still got a few Muslim friends and plan to get back in touch with the others via email soon.

Some brothers wanted to see me when they found out but considering what I knew I was going to start doing and all the stuff surrounding apostasy, and that I had been a regular at the mosque up until that point, I really didn't want hear whatever they had to say.

    Now things are different.

I got some emails but haven't replied to them yet.  They are saved and I will reply.  There's some stuff to go look at on my website and youtube account now so when I contact someone hopefully they'll take a look at some of that stuff.

The apartment I use to live at didn't have an intercom system, so they couldn't just come over.  And it was a total coincidence but a horrible 2 year contract for my mobile had just finished at pretty much the same time and so I had a new number.

I saw one hardcore guy driving his taxi around in the city.  We use to watch Jihadi videos and lectures together.  He was fine.  Said he felt betrayed at the time but had decided that it was a free country and I could believe what I liked.  He was friendly and we swapped numbers and agreed to meet later and catch up.

What surprised me was that he was more interested in why I thought Islam was wrong and about evolution not just being a theory than saying anything at all preachy.  He even said something about wanting to know for himself.

I didn't hear from him but soon after that the police took my mobile along with sim card and so I guess he could have contacted me.  Or he might have gone and had a look online and decided not to.

I don't mind at all Smiley

Mate, Muslims will say anything to everybody in order to make Islam seem that it is the summit of rationality and perfection. Whatever is defined as problematic, they will tell the non-believer during dawah that it is the opposite of that - hey presto! Islam is the solution for everything, and most of the time its half-truths, lies and dissimulation. Its a ruse of Islamic dawah, and to be honest, being tricky is what it is all about - witness all the 'reverts' who soon find out after conversion that Islam is not what they were told it is, how just a little bit of truth searching and truthful study reveals Islam to be not as it was sold.

    He really is an artist.

After hearing upon these answers, I decided not to testdrive Islam anymore. I called it quits, and now I am an agnostic. Another thing which put me off, and I do not mean to generalize, but it was the poor muslim character that was around me. Most Muslims I met have no character. They all like and dislike the same things, they dress the same, believe in the same things, and do not have the best sense of humour (this is simply my observation), they were pushy when they told me to learn arabic and they nitpick about the most trivial shit and they do not know how to socialize with non-muslims.

I can understand your experience but when you're a 'convert' type of guy you will always end up dealing with that archetypal kind of character. Like a cookie cutter Muslim personality. A lot of us, including myself, were similar types of Muslims but you're rarely deal with us because a vast majority aren't doing dawah, but are busy with their own lives and studying. So I really think you came across a specific species of Muslim. A numerous one, but not necessarily representative of Muslims on campus.

You are correct 100%. The reason being is because my few close Muslim friends told me to hang out with them and learn from them because they take their deen seriously. I regret it. I was semi brainwashed. I say Semi because I still had some reason left to critically think and question, which some Muslims in the prayer room did not like.
