Ah, Tommy - the past Kim talks of is actually the present. It's just that she is so young that she thinks in terms of days and weeks instead of months and years. We are talking of current events.

Kimdonesia should listen to this too, because I'm here to suggest that she gets of the fame merry-go-round. Not every little detail of her life must be made public in order to capture more attention for herself. I'm also here to say that if she announces she still respects Muslims then she actually needs to follow through with that if it was sincere in the first place.

Also, if she wants to talk about how her Muslim friends deserted her she'd better not do it in the public arena where those friends she is talking of can read it because they may well feel hurt and wonder why she feels the need to say such lies. They may also try to refute the claim, because nobody likes to see complete lies written so blazenly. In this particular case it's not a matter of opinion that we can't agree on, for example as is the case with all our arguments over religion - there will always be disagreements. It's quite simple: did all your Muslim friends abandon you after you told them? NO.

In which case, how does she think that they will feel about the things she has been writing and saying now about Islam (which she embraced and pushed until last week), and how do you think they would feel about her allowing disgusting filth to be written and left on her youtube account by idiots? Because remember she talked about her Muslim ''friends'' and I'm sorry to say this, but it's a two way street Kim.

Simple, if they are the adherents of a so called religion of peace and love, then they should know better than to leave hateful comments towards an immature person who doesn't know better.

I mean, for feck's sake, how old are you?  Following a little girl's antics and pouring over the mudane and sordid details of her life on youtube sounds pretty sad to me.   I didn't even know who she was until this incident occured.  Don't tell me about covering up... you don't cover immaturity like that up.  It is instantly recognisable.

@ ras111 - to be honest I think a lot of us are hoping that she will desist with this for the benefit of Islam, her friends and also herself. But perhaps some people are happy to have her continue spilling her guts all over the internet and digging herself in deeper and deeper while she is still immature enough to know any better. I really have said much of what I have in the hope that she will realise that she doesn't have to insult people and burn bridges with people who really aren't out to harm her just because she is embarrassed by her deconversion. She should know the things I have said...I don't see that as being immature, sad, nor hateful.

Now before someone starts banging on about "the benefit of islam" and what I might mean by that - it's obvious that she hasn't been hard done by, by her real Muslim friends or by Islam (trust me  Afro). She simply has stopped believing and/or stopped practising and needed a way out (and more publicity). Given that, is there really a need for her to be saying and encouraging the sorts of things she is and stirring up hatred within not just Islam but other believers and non-believers too. No I think.

Likewise there is certainly no need for Muslims to be bothering being ''hateful'' towards her. There is a difference between being hateful and making sure that you get what you see to be an important pointn across to a person. Not that I think it's sinking in  wacko

What are you guys talking about? I'm totally lost.

sunny, are you suggesting that a teenage girl blogging about her life (however trivial you think it is does not matter) is going to bring down islam or something. Seriously guys, you are taking this stuff way too seriously.
Its the friggen internet, she can spill her guts as much as she wants...thats what blogs are for, It's like a bunch of friggen Ronin with all the gut spilling.

And point taken, lol. I've probably done what I can.  Smiley

@ Homer - no...what on earth gave you that impression?  What I mentioned about creating trouble between people maybe? Well that is a totally separate issue Homer. That's about relationships between people and whether they are positive and work towards peace and tolerance, or whether they are the opposite.

It is just the internet yes, and I've made that point already. Too many people spend too much time on the internet and it does actually affect what goes on in their lives, not always in a positive way.

Well if there are people who are using a girl to spill her guts over the internet like  that, it doesn't bode too well in their favour either.  From the little I saw in that video, she does not seem to want to burn bridges either.  Anyway I should hope not, but if she burns bridges with people who do really wish her well then its her funeral and no one else's.

I for one am not judging whether she was hard done by Islam or not, that is not for me to decide as I never followed the situation or took any interest in it.  I am simply at odds with the compulsion of certain people to follow her to a forum and warn others about her.

Islam has 1.5 billion adherents or so I'm told, is her publicity really going to affect it? Who is she anyway?  She is no grand Mufti as far as I know.

Because I use those terms quite a lot although it is nothing out of malice or personal..  Well you have come to warn us about her alleged love for attention after all.

    Islam means Submission.

    Salaam means Peace.

    Istislaam means surrender.

Islam is not a combination of Salam and Istislaam.

Well said Hassan. That is absolutely correct.

OK lets do some Zakir Naik style here:

From many of over 18 verses mention Islam as submission let me give you this example: Sura 39 Alzumor, verse 54...

Translated: And return to your Lord time after time and submit to Him before there comes to you the punishment, then you shall not be helped. (54)

Anyways. Everybody knows the word Islam is not the same as Salam. And definetly, it is not the combination of Salam and Istislam!

There's all sorts of words you could use. For instance "yodel" would fit. Yodeling is definitely not musical or singing so it should be kosher halal.

Or you could use "bullshit", which would be bloody appropriate if standing in front of a grumpy deity.

Ok, I found a bible one

    http://www.insolitology.com/games/biblelibs.htm

Check out mad libs 2 Kings 2:23-24

From there Robert went up to Newark. As he was walking along the road, some junkies came out of the town and jeered at him. 'Go on up, you retard!' they said. 'Go on up, you retard!' He turned around, humped at them and called down a curse on them in the name of Scooby Do. Then two mice came out of the woods and mauled 5 of the junkies.

OK, we need a quran one....all profits will go to charity

For those not familiar with Mad Libs:

The trick will be, someone has to take the quran, and pick out words to be blanked and later 'mad libed'
Then that person must keep track of what was blanked out (a noun, verb, ect.).
Then that person must ask another person (who cant see the text in question) for a noun, verb, ect.
Those new words are substituted into the original text.
Then the new 'mad libed' text is read.

This will be quite a project, we'll need a new thread.
