    Well Allah did make it clear that in the next life, the 'hereafter', they shall be punished. But is there anywhere in the Qu'ran, clearly stating that they should be punished in this life? Without some Scholars interpretation?

    Quran 4:89 (Pickthal translation)
    They long that ye should disbelieve even as they disbelieve, that ye may be upon a level. So choose not friends from them till they forsake their homes in the way of Allah; if they turn back then take them and kill them wherever ye find them, and choose no friend nor helper from among them,

    Surat 95: ..Unbelievers are created from base matter. Also the one where it said if you kill them (here on earth), then it is the hand of allah that killed them.

    The koran does a very good job of dehumanizing the non-believer on Earth as well as in the afterlife. To the point where it does not matter what yo do to the unbeliever on Earth, since hell is so much worse.

    And what it up with the koran stating 17 times that boiling water will be used to torture people in hell?
