I'm watching the latest Doctor Who now, and it's making me cry..... Cheesy Not exactly sure why... :/

Maybe a bit of nostalgia with the Doctor....I think I seriously was 'in love' with this 'doctor' character as a kid

Love Dr. Who - this season was as excellent as ever. The season finale (just watched on iPlayer) was good - maybe not as good as some previous episodes in the season - but still good. I love all the little jokes and references and the way it shows the 'little people' as the heroes. It has a wonderful humanity about it. Absolutely love Dr. Who  Afro

I’m just glad that his ‘death’ has reset the threat level on his character. Now we can get back to some good old adventuring?

Ok I have to admit, Season 6 (that's SERIES 6 in limey-talk) is fuckin' awesome, didn't care much for Series 5, but this #6 is some of the best Dr Who stuff I've ever seen. I'm only up to "Let's Kill Hitler" so far dance

Honestly, I've never seen the appeal of Doctor Who, although I usually like sci-fi.

Ah I used to watch Dr Who as a kid in England. When the icecream van used to come around we used to buy the screwball icecream and make daleks out of the plastic containers.

When I first saw David Tennant after Chris, it took a while to readjust, as it did with Matt Smith.

Remember The Empty Child? The one set in London during the war. That was brilliant, movie-like scale and well written story.

Christopher Eccleston is like a damaged Doctor, with bad memories. He really brings out the 'war veteran' personality, this was most notable in this scene.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9tt1FxKnH4c&feature=related

David Tennant is an experienced visual Shakespeare-esque actor, he can say nothing, and talk with his eyes. His Doctor has some of the best moments for the character ever.

That one blew me away, affected me for a few days. Huh? Probably because I can have my own god complex at times. king A questionable trait to say the least.

    Also endings like this:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SC0NuBaliLs

Makes you realise why the Doctor and the Master are two sides of the same coin.

Matt Smith is an eccentric Doctor, but the Doctor nonetheless.

Setting:  Tokyo, Japan, mid 70s, babysitting my 8 yr old sister
and Dr Who comes on the toob.

Lil sister:  I dont want to watch this, its scary!

Me:  You are supposed to be asleep!  Go to bed then!

Lil sister:  I thought you said I could stay up

Me:  I did, but on my terms.  so either shut up and watch this,
    or go to bed.

    Lil sister:  D:

    Me:  *pshhhh* and  Roll Eyes

    Five minutes later

    Lil Sister:  D:

Me:  tell ya what, go get us some ice cream and we will sit here together.
I will protect you *snickers*  and remember, you BETTER not tell dad
cuz I will tell him you refused to go to bed--which is true! And YOU will
    be in trouble, not me!

    Lil sis:  D:

So we are on the couch, and she is falling alseep on my lap.

Me:  Wake up, sweetie, you need to go to bed.

    Lil sis:  Carry me!

Me:  You arent a baby anymore!  Go to bed,  NAO!

Lil sis:  Can you turn all the lights on down the hallway to
    my bedroom?

    Me:  no.

    Lil sis: D:

    Lil sis: but Im SCARED!

    Me:  .

    long silence.

    Me:  Go to bed.

    Lil Sis:  No! D:

Me:  you are gonna be in big trouble!  GO TO BED NAO!

Lil Sis:  *cries and runs as fast as she can down the hall
and dives under her covers, still crying*

    Me:  Smiley

    the end.
