Imagine a cross between Buffy and Torchwood. Also, the Doctor's in the first ep.

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

I've never seen buffy....there are a lot of common cultural things that I don't know, tho, growing up in a house where almost everything on TV (and off it) was literally demons.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for I have a sonic screwdriver, a tricorder, and a Type 2 phaser.

OOOOOhhhh I'm going to have to watch that tomorrow. I wish so much Torchwood would come back with either its Season 1 fun or its Season 3 seriousness.... just... something!

John Barrowman, Captain Jack himself, has recently had some Torchwood comics he wrote hit the stands.

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.

So, the next Doctor is a woman. Not surprising. Fifth and sixth have given their views. Thoughts?

I don't mind as long as it doesn't feel forced....like, I want her to mention it maybe once, then be like "cool" and get back to doing Doctor things.

They tried to make it "continuity" by making other Time Lords swap sexes which did feel forced. But, the new Doctor is a new character, so I'll wait and see. And we still have the Christmas special before we say goodbye to Peter Capaldi. I'm a bit pissed at this this because, unlike David Tennant. who defined his role with his fantastic acting, and scripts which allowed him to demonstrate his fantastic acting,  Peter Capaldi is a fucking great actor, who got some shitty fucking scripts, which never allowed him to shine as Tennant did. There are some standouts. Capaldi's portrayal on the Christmas ep, with the cloaked Time Lord...AI? Demon? That was awesome. But he just didn't get the emotional range of Tennant. I mean Tennant, Jesus Christ. The stone angels? The three parter starting with the old man in Utopia who turned out to be the Master? His death? The demon two parter where he turned human? And just his random memories of Galifrey and the Time War. With just a few simple words he made me pray that in the Tennant/Smith/Hurt Time War special we'd see even a glimpse of the Nightmare Child. There was so fucking much. Tennant had the ability to make you laugh and cry and the scripts allowed that. Capaldi had the ability to make you laugh and cry and the scripts never allowed that.
