    Any easy way to add captions to quick time movies?

    I'm not too sure that there is but I do know that it isn 't possible to it within Quicktime, you might need to use something like iMovie, with that being said though, it is possible to add captions once you've uploaded the video to youtube. On youtube they're referred to as annotations.

    Thanks yes, annotations is fine, but I wanted it within the video itself.

    iMovie is terrible at adding captions - well either that or I just haven't got the hang of it.

    I guess it depends on which version you have, '08 was horrible, '09 is apparently meant to be an improvement, although, I am going to wait till '10 comes out hopefully next year. I tend to get the iLife and iWork together, however, iWork lacks a built in bibliography which makes having to use Office 2008 a must.

    Can you tell me which movie file you want to subtitle? Do you have the transcript? Maybe I can help you. I could give you the finished subtitle file and also the movie file merged together with the subtitles.

    It's just a song with a slide show (Dear God by xtc) - I'm not planning to upload it to my channel.
