    Eid Mubarak, fellow Murtadeen!

    Look not above, there is no answer there;
    Pray not, for no one listens to your prayer;
    Near is as near to God as any Far,
    And Here is just the same deceit as There.

    - Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam

    I'd moo or bark as well if I was a Murtadeen

     Cheesy

    Eid Mubarak everyone!

    By the way, I just saw an interesting discussion in a video where it was mentioned that there are currently 18 countries with a muslim majority that have official christian holidays while there is only one country (Kenya) with christian majority that has muslim holidays.

    I find that very interesting.

    Well, Jesus is a Prophet in Islam, a very important one & the Quran too repeats the story of him being born of a virgin. It has a lot to say on him & Mary & of course Xtianity doesn't accept Muhammad as a Prophet, so that is a plausible reason.

    World renowned historian Will Durant"...the Islamic conquest of India is probably the bloodiest story in history. It is a discouraging tale, for its evident moral is that civilization is a precious good, whose delicate complex order and freedom can at any moment be overthrown..."

    I didn't go to the eid prayers today (i only bother with it if my dad wants me to go with him). Some pakistani dude who works in my office dropped by my cubicle and was like "you are very unmindful of your religion" when he found out I didn't bother to go to the prayers. I was like "woops I thought it was on saturday"... not true, I knew it was today. He gave me a dissapproving look and walked away. I promptly continued surfing google images for lolcats.

    I'm sure he already knows I'm not very religious if I didn't bother to go to even the Eid prayers.

    I usually don't tell Muslims I meet in real life that I'm atheist unless provoked or bothered with proselyting.
