How did you both managed to get a many great following of nutcases in your youtube channel?

Do you know any of them?

or are they just riff raffs trawling the cyber-space?

I just feel that those guys would make a amusing diversion if they all came here :-)

It makes me wonder, and also upsets me, that they attract these kind of responses when the videos themselves do not spew any hate.

It makes me laugh when I go to youtube azan videos, and just comment on how nice the azan is. Then a few days later I go back with people marking my positive comment as a negative one. All because my username is exmuslimuk.

Despite imploring people to come here for debate, they rarely do, yet boldly make challenges on the comments section.

A lot of Muslims simply don't know how to deal with dissent and views that strike at the roots of their beliefs. Islam commands them to kill the apostate and confine the non-muslims to ghetto. The idea of debate and discourse about the very core of Islam is alien to the Muslims and has been from the days of Muhammad. So what you get is a sense of not knowing what to do with people like us.. so they just cuss you and thumbs you down.

I guess you should 'interpret' those thumbs-downs as a 'metaphorical' slaying of the apostate.

It's a pity.

Some of them are crying out for a good seeing to (in debating off course) ;-)

I guess it is easier to leave a nasty comment than to engage and justify your comments...

Unfortunately, the very subject matter of their videos, no matter how soberly, rational and magnanimously they are narrated, means that they are going to attract the psychotic spurned 'jealous god' stalkers.

Around a year ago I had around 530 subscribers before my account was suspended - if you say something against Islam often enough and loud enough, you'll attract every precious snow flake of Islam in protection of their dogma. It is like a honey pot to bears.

Around a year ago there was a flagging campaign. I made some tongue 'n cheek videos involving pictures and show tunes. Add to the fact that I made a 21 part series ripping Islam to pieces and pissing off the major instigators of the flagging campaign - it was a matter of when rather than if.
