    I mean seriously, think about it. You can't see your spouse naked, you have to have sex with some clothes on, no oral, no talking while having sex, must say a dua though, no masturbation or anything like that, LIGHTS must be turned off, no neat moves or anything like that.

    It must be like this. The wive lays missionary position, they have sex, 1 minute, ejaculates, over, BAM like that. Why do they have to say shit like islam promotes a great sex-life when it clearly doesn't?

    If one thinks about it. If an Arab male never saw a woman naked in his life and marries a woman, he can never see his wife completely naked, so in his whole life he never saw a woman naked!! Cheesy

    What gave you that idea? The only thing that is haram as far as sex is concerned is anal. Everything else is fine.

    Well some say oral is halal and some say it isn't, infact I would say based on the strict interpretation of islam, CC's post is spot on, but veering away from strict interpretation would make your post right.

    I think one of the reasons why muslim men and women shy away from it is because it's seen as an act in which some amount of dignity is sacrificed. IMHO.

    As far as I know, you are allowed to be naked in front of your spouse and oral is perfectly ok. Like Omaar said, Anal is forbidden and also sex during menstruation is forbidden

    Actually I heard that anal is Haram in Sunni Islam but Mukru in Shia Islam i.e. permissible but strongly discouraged.

    Sure, anal might be makruh, which would be the same as smoking. But think of the downside for the shia's. They have to endure slapping sessions every year. A high price to pay for a bit of bum action!

    I think the reality is somewhere in between those two. Cool Canadian appeared to be describing the Deobandi view on sex, but I don't think it is as extreme as your description. But saying that, the Deobandis are really ridiculous about sex, and I think that is a result of a combination of the Subcontinental and the Muslim attitude to sex.

    Sunni Berlawis accept it to be permissible, the Deobandis don't accept it permissible, but majority of the woman just suck the husband off anyway, like alot of them do anal sex too, it's not even seen as a big deal, I mean I was surprised when my wife suggested we should try anal

    Grin Woah, sorry, Quod. I figured there were few ways in which it could have been a problem.

    But back in the day, I knew a guy who for whatever reason would produce an excessive amount, and it would spot through his clothes if he was aroused for too long in public. He told me that apparently this happens and apparently there's some treatments for it? But I never looked too far into that, so I couldn't say more about it.

    We had this discussion in another thread, was it the masturbation thread? There are a lot of differences of opinion about what is haram or makrooh in terms of sex. You ask a scholar about some BDSM and I'm sure the majority of them would view it as haram. A lot of them view oral sex as very makrooh because it's not "befitting" for a believer. But in the end, Muslims are just humans. I think especially Muslims in the west, who are exposed to a different attitude towards sex, break a lot of rules.
