what miracles in the modern day have you been told about? The only two I can remember are SO unbelievably stupid I just can't take anyone who believes them seriously.

The first was of Khak-e-shifa. Clay from the plains of Kerbala where Hussain was murdered turns to the colour of red. Apparently this happens a lot at my mosque, hardly proof of anything. I'm 200% sure if it was examined critically there would be a good explanation such as it being an effect of heat or moisture, or even something totally accidental, like contact with a minor cut. I'm not being close minded here, i just believe that if a God existed, he would do something a little more extravagant than some clay changing to a darker shade of red.

The other miracle is about the hand of Abbas. It disappeared and reappeared in the toilets

Thats the big silver hand, magically appearing in the toilets. As opposed to a prank .

These miracles only seem to happen in the month of Muharram and only within shi'ah communities

what do you think of these ''miracles'' and have you heard of any modern day miracles?

well this is very true

you know that the all mighty FSM likes the color red(like the sauce) and many times he likes to cast such light upon earth and thats why sun rise and set appears red.

as for why that specific position appeared red the question has two answers:
first of all FSM is all mighty and all knowing, if he wishes to dye some clay with red he will damn do so
second of all this is a test to see if you acknowledge other false religions so that he can know who is worthy of hell and is worthy of heavens(well you cant expect him to know by himself)

for a final the missing hand stuff is because that dude through a plate of spaghetti, which is total blasphemy and he had it comming
