Scientifically Adam and Eve fit in well with theory of evolution which says we all descended from a pair of ancestors.

No, there was no giant human named Adam and his wife named Eve. and there were no giant humans after him. There is NO evidence for the existence of any giant human beings. We did not shrink as time goes on, rather we are getting taller. With better nutrition, healthcare, technology and medicine we are actually getting taller and living longer.

Human nature has a need for God. Only Islam has the best concept of God available.

No. Allah does not NEED our worship. He doesn't us, or anyone, or anything.
Allah is free of all needs. He is totally Independent Being.

I already knew he doesn't need worship. My main question was why create us in the first place, which you didn't answer.

    Quote
Allah has no need of anyone. But He choses to do certian things in a certain way.
    Angels are a go-between. They are middle-men.
Why does a President need secretaries and spokesmen? Just to show the power of his office.

How is that different from an arrogant king who wants to have as many people under his rule as possible?

    Quote
Every office and nation has rules. If you dont follow the rules, you dont get in anything.
If you want to come to U.S., you must follow certain rules.
If you want to go to Paradise, you must follow rules of entry.

Well, certainly he must make it clear which rules are genuine then, not send a dozen of prophets each with a different religion, and don't tell me the 'all have the same message crap' because as far as I can see all religions are different with some similarities and each one says the others are wrong.

    Quote
Allah has a hidden plan. I dont know everything do I.

Well, then in his plan he chose to make people Kafirs and then put them in hell. Yeah so nice of him.

    Quote
Time exists only for us. Allah is free of limits of time. Time is one of creation of Allah along with space and matter and many other hidden things we dont even know of.

That has nothing to do with my question. He either knows what are we going to do or not. If he does then it was his fault for creating us in the first place, if he doesn't then he is not all knowing. Plain and simple.

    Quote
I have answered Adam and Eve in the earlier post.

I read it and shows you know nothing about evolution, typical of all creationists/theists. Also you didn't answer 'the earth is flat' bit.

I have been completely convinced.  I shall return to Islam post-haste.  Yes, these drive by postings that seem to occur in tag teams every month or so by people who are so sure that they're going to open our minds (of course, we know nothing of Islam having been Muslims) have utterly convinced me.  I must dig out my hijabs and perhaps even a niqab this go around.

I read up on major religion, they dont make sense to me.
Islam is clear and reasonable. It is the true religion. If you look at with open mind, you would agree.

I have looked at it with an open mind. I find it completely implausible.  Afro

Peace to you Anjali. I hope we can talk in a civilised manner.

    That is an assumption.

If you ask those ho manage this forum, you will discover that many muslims get banned. They dont leave.

Of course you can support that claim with examples, right?

    That is an assumption.

If you ask those ho manage this forum, you will discover that many muslims get banned. They dont leave. They dont fear you guys.

I will remain here unless I am banned. Remember that.

Hm, I find that a bit hard to believe. There are some people here who are complete trolls and they still haven't been banned, the admins are very liberal & its rare for them to ban anyone here, I think.

Why does a President need secretaries and spokesmen? Just to show the power of his office.

Not really, its because the amount of work is overwhelming and a single president can't simply do it all, hence he needs to hire secretaries and spokesmen because he can't possibly do everything. Do you mean to tell us that Allah also can't do everything himself and therefore he needed to create angels to do some of his jobs, because he has limited time?

Every office and nation has rules. If you dont follow the rules, you dont get in anything.
If you want to come to U.S., you must follow certain rules.
If you want to go to Paradise, you must follow rules of entry.

The only rules that apply to staying in the U.S are that you don't do anything that harms someone else, like murder, rape, blackmail, fraud, theft, etc. But you can do virtually anything you want with a consenting adult as long as it doesn't harm anyone. This means a lot of liberty and freedom, and the rules which are in place have a clear and measurable practical benefit: they result in less people being harmed in America.

However the rules which are required for entry to paradise don't make sense at all: Pray for 5 times a day. What good does that do and what benefit does that bring to the world? None at all. 1 namaaz takes about 20 mins average (fajar takes less but isha takes way too long, 20 is a good average), compare that to 5 x 20 = 100 mins per day spent on prayer. In 1 year that means 584 hours spent on prayer (24 full days out of 365), and in a lifetime (60 yrs) 1440 days get spent in meaningless prayer activities which have 0 practical benefits. Multiply 1440 hrs per person with the 1 billion muslims in the world, and you have a trillion man-hours which go into the drain every 60 years.

If allah is indeed so smart and all-knowing, why wouldn't he tell us to spend 100 minutes a day learning about science, or doing charity work, which actually make a meaningful contribution to the world? Imagine if everyone in the muslim world spent 100 mins a day (billions of total man-hours) helping the poor, teaching uneducated people, or doing scientific research. It will certainly have a better result than having most of the muslim countries in poverty, and almost 0 scientific contributions made by the entire muslim world in the last 100 years.

The logic of allah is completely ridiculous.
The only explanation I have for such ridiculous rules is that they were made by an illterate arab 1400 years ago who had very little knowledge about the world, and his reason for creating the whole religion and inventing these 'rules' was just to keep people in fear and obedience to him.  suckers

Allah has a hidden plan. I dont know everything do I.

     Believe that crap

Time exists only for us. Allah is free of limits of time. Time is one of creation of Allah along with space and matter and many other hidden things we dont even know of.

Yes but you're ignoring a valid question. If allah knows everything, then he knows exactly which of the human beings created will obey him and go to heaven, and which ones will go to hell. Then what is the point of him sending us to earth since he already KNOWS that i will go to hell and you'll go to heaven, why didn't he just have you born in heaven instead and have me born in hell instead?

    Hi Smiley

Please tell me one thing. We do we have a reptilian brain (Reptilian complex)? I can't seem to find that in the Quran or a good reason for it overall if looking at it from a creationism point of view. It's somewhat analogues to building a city from scratch in the 21th century but insisting on using a 18th century water supply system.

    Hello Ahmed...

Im was raised without any religion. My mother told me i should look at all possibilities and chose for myself. So, in that case, if it were like you say, i should immediatly seen Islam and converted, right?

    Well, guess what i did.

Ive read the bible, the koran, studied buddhism and even the jewish torah and some other religions, (even norse mythology, because to be honest, Thor kicks Mohammeds ass)

And guess what, im still an atheist. No religion makes sense to me. They have some nice storys, but so do the brothers grimm.

But of all the religious books ive read, the Koran is by far the most violant, cruel, brutal, sexist and selfish. And im not even talking of the God or the Prophet mentioned in it. Because these guys really are a new league of bastards!

And dont get me started on sharia law...

So, no... not the one true religion. And i dont feel a desire for any God in my life... im perfectly fine, godless as i am.

Oh, and just you know, im a nice person... yea, i dont rape people, or kill them, or force women to wear stupid clothes because i cant fucking control my libido.

So, besides the fact that Allah promises me hell if i dont believe him, why exactly should i need Islam... why should i become a muslim?

too. Though you may not consider the guy in that thread to be a Muslim because he is somewhat opposed to the orthodox views of Islam, which in the minds of many Salafis, warrants him the apostate label.

Salam Ahmed, I too was a born Muslim (by chance and sheer luck) just as I am a born Pakistani.

Nothing to boast about being a Muslim etc by a mere accident of birth.

But now I am an atheist and I can take pride in that because I did it myself after being nearly 22 years of being a VERY devout Shia Muslim.  Wink
