    Hi all
    I thought I put some links here about the life in the west bank, nothing super but just for you to see the normal life of people here in case someone is interested.

    this is a photo gallery for my university, go for the second option "University Life", get past the first pictures and you will hit a surprise i guess

    Quite similar scenes here... Even the landscape in some photos is very similar to the one here...

    A question or two though if you don't mind.
    Is the Uni you are attending strictly secular? For example I couldn't see a particular dress code being enforced. What about praying and such? Are there any international students at the Uni, maybe even Israelis?
    Do you have any contacts with Israeli Universities?

    well we interacted much with the army,
    we used to cross three check points to get to school, thats about 12 km on foot for everyone everyday for three years, even teachers with heart conditions.

    the university was closed three times for more than a year each time by the Israeli army, and we have a memorial statue in the center of the university for all the student who got killed on the hands of the IOF, i lost one of my friends myself.

    and about the dress code there isn't one, the university is mainly secular, and if their is a piece of ass in Palestine its in there...the university has great academic life ranked 2nd and 5th on the arab countries universities when i was in it.

    The money goes to women in Palestine; I've ordered 3 Keffiyehs - they're reasonably priced and it is a grass roots organisation. It takes some times a few days to get a reply but the person is very friendly and you know the money is going straight to the people who need it rather than some convoluted maze of charities.
