I suppose North-African women are less submissive, though with my lack of perspective, I sometimes wonder. I've never been to Morocco, and I don't know any South-east Asian woman in person. In my country you find a mixture of both. Unfortunately my family is pretty conservative and most of the women there are god and husband-fearing, hijab-wearing muslimas... But elsewhere there women just like you described them. The Berber blood, I suspect
