    I seriously dont understand with people even bother with it, 100% bakwaas.  Im glad the show is getting axed, it just shows how low people go and what they'd do for money.

    The only reason its being axed is because its on its nth series and the cost of the show endemol are charging for it is way too inflated. 

    Rest assured another variant will hit our screens to replace it.  The viewing audience is way too large  for the advertisers and TV production studios to ignore.

    I can't stand Big Brother, any variant of it. But the celeb is mildly entertaining. I lost all hope in humanity after the bottle incident.

    Not really, I think its an interesting social study and there have been some really funny scenes. Even the fame hungry eccentric figures make great viewing (like the bottle scene just mentioned Wink). I defy you to have not laughed at any of them.

    The only "celebrity" show I would watch was one suggested by Jack Dee entitled "I'm a celebrity - No, you're not."

    I remember watching it when it first started for the frisson of seeing some of the nice looking women on the show unselfconsciously in bikinis or just hanging around nude in the bath or shower. Very shallow but still, you know, add that to the general originality of the format and show when it began and it was compelling. The first couple of series they seemed to have ordinary people who weren't so self conscious, but when it made people so tabloid famous it just became tired and lame very quickly. The last time I paid any attention to it was when they had that Zimbabwean lady called Makosi on it - she had lovely curves and a bountiful body that she wasn't shy about showing off and that was just lovely.

    But it all got so lame that the frisson and novelty of all that just dissapeared. Its the most "meh, so what" programme on TV right now, deserves to go in the dustbin.

    The format is the same, but its about the people who never are.

    I think its a matter of perservering with it, and getting to understand the characters.  A bit like discussing mundane details of someones life.  Its 'meh, so what' if you see them for the first time, but after getting to know more about someone, it become less boring.  Somewhat akin to our discussions here, some of my friends dont understand what I like about an anonymous forum, but until you have spent time here its difficult to explain.

    But I agree, if you just watch one random episode of any reality TV programme you are likely to have your reaction.

    Well well, I did not think Sisq? would get evicted, that surprised me.

    Vinnie's personality reminds me a bit of my exes, controlling, whining to BB about how offended he was and how his solicitor would get right on.  Ungraciously dealing with an apology, as if accepting it would sour his stomach.

    Stephenie is a full on snob, Ivana a mere step behind looking down their noses at anybehaviour they deem socially unnacceptable.  Roll Eyes
